Florida Senator Rick Scott says Trump won because of Democrats’ ‘foolish decisions’

Republican Senator Rick Scott credited the Democrats’ “foolish decisions” with propelling President Donald Trump back into the White House.

“The Democrats are in the stages of a loss. They’re either in the grief stage or the anger stage, but they don’t understand that Donald Trump won the presidency, and part of the reason he won is all the Democrats’ foolish decisions,” the Florida Republican told Fox News’ “The Bottom Line.”

Scott went on to say that Trump won on a pledge to make government accountable and transparent, and he claimed that the president and Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) chair Elon Musk are fulfilling that promise.

The senator said Democrats were frustrated by Trump and Musk’s efforts to reform the government.

Florida Sen. Rick Scott praised Elon Musk’s management of DOGE.

Musk announced a series of “super obvious” changes that the US treasury and DOGE jointly agreed to on Saturday. Among them was requiring the treasury to add a “payment authorization code” and rationale to all outgoing payments and strengthening implementation of the DO-NOT-PAY list to ensure federal funds aren’t going to terrorist fronts and other fraudsters.

President Donald Trump predicted that Musk is likely to find hundreds of billions of dollars in “fraud and abuse” once DOGE sets its sights on The Department of Education and Pentagon, in a pre-Superbowl interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier.

“Elon Musk is doing a great job, Donald Trump is doing a great job, and the Democrats cannot believe that all their failure, all their fraud and all their waste is being exposed, and it’s going away.”

In 2012, Bollywood witnessed the release of a blockbuster film that captured hearts without the usual ingredients of commercial cinema—no action-packed sequences or lengthy dialogues. Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra, this heartwarming film not only won audiences over but also earned more than double its budget at the box office.

A Film That Redefined Bollywood Trends

At a time when most Bollywood hits relied on action, dramatic dialogues, and villainous conflicts, Barfi broke the mold. Directed by Anurag Basu, the film introduced viewers to a world where emotions spoke louder than words. Ranbir Kapoor played the role of Barfi, a deaf and mute man whose story unfolded beautifully without a single spoken dialogue from him.

    Powerful Performances Won Hearts

Priyanka Chopra delivered a stellar performance as Jhilmil, a woman with autism, earning widespread praise from audiences and critics alike. She even admitted that this was one of her most challenging and rewarding roles to date. Adding to the charm of the film, Ileana D’Cruz played a supporting yet impactful role. Barfi blended romance, comedy, and raw emotions, making it a perfect example of a pure love story.

    Take a look below:

Box Office Success and Record-Breaking Achievements

After its release, Barfi became a box-office sensation. According to Sacnilk reports, the film grossed ₹175 crore worldwide, with ₹112 crore coming from domestic collections. Made on a modest budget of ₹40 crore, it more than quadrupled its investment.
Beyond its financial success, the film bagged 68 awards, cementing its place as one of Bollywood’s most celebrated films. The soulful soundtrack also contributed to its success, resonating deeply with fans. Moreover, Barfi was recognized as a trendsetting film, proving that a movie does not need dramatic action or high-intensity dialogues to leave a lasting impact.

Even years after its release, Barfi remains a masterpiece, celebrated for its storytelling, unforgettable performances, and emotional depth.

Chicago mayor lambasts Trump, claims US being run like Confederacy won

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson continued his attack on President Donald Trump on Wednesday, saying anyone questioning what the U.S. would look like had the Confederacy won, should have no question at this point under his administration.

A reporter asked Johnson during a press conference on Wednesday if he planned to go to Washington, D.C. to testify about sanctuary cities as the Trump administration continues to conduct operations targeting criminal illegal aliens.

House Republicans, including U.S. Rep. James Comer, R-Tenn., chair of the GOP-controlled House Committee on Oversight and Reform, called on sanctuary city mayors to testify next month about the policy’s impact on public safety and the refusal to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement.

This oversight committee, of all the things that they want to have sight over, they should look at the White House right now,” Johnson said. “That White House is being ran in one of the most raggedy forms of government that I’ve ever seen. If anybody is questioning whether or not what our country would look like had the Confederacy won, there should be no question now. They want us to be afraid. Do not be afraid, Chicago.”

The mayor said he will not be intimidated by an individual who refuses to stand up to another individual who believes “he’s a supreme being.”

Johnson also accused Trump of rejecting the U.S. Constitution by carrying out his responsibilities.

“If they want to have a real discussion about undocumented individuals who are criminals, they should look at the very individuals who enslaved my people and colonized this land,” Johnson said.

Earlier in the press conference, another reporter asked the mayor if he had toned down rhetoric about relitigating the civil war.

“I still believe that there are people who have not accepted the results of the Civil War, and here’s the thing: I said that before this administration took office,” Johnson said. “Unfortunately, I’m right. I mean, you have an entire administration that is looking to take away federal protections for the people who are most vulnerable.

“So, no, my position has not changed,” he added.

The mayor’s statement comes more than a week after he doubled down on a vow to oppose Trump’s sweeping reform aimed at removing dangerous illegal immigrants accused of crimes from the U.S. once he returns to the Oval Office.

On day one of his second term, Trump issued ten executive orders aimed at overhauling U.S. immigration law and policy, and since then, armed federal immigration agents have swept cities in the first deportation raids.

In a letter, Comer, Johnson and other mayors of sanctuary cities, to provide documents and information related to the sanctuary policies of each city.

Sanctuary cities limit cooperation between local law enforcement and federal immigration authorities. Supporters argue that enforcement of immigration is the job of the federal government.

Opponents say sanctuary policies harbor criminals, as well as those in the country illegally, and put the public, including legal and illegal immigrants, at risk.

ESPN broadcaster reveals why he was brought to tears on broadcast after Ohio State won national championship

ESPN broadcaster Kirk Herbstreit was visibly emotional after watching his alma mater, the Ohio State Buckeyes, win the College Football Playoff National Championship game, and the reason is now known.

Herbstreit made an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” where he not only discussed medical complications his son, Buckeyes walk-on tight end Zak Herbstreit, went through, but he also revealed that his wife, Ally, has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

“It was almost like a perfect storm for me,” Herbstreit told McAfee and his crew about his emotions during the post-game show as Ohio State celebrated the victory. “My son had heart failure two years ago, and they were talking about a heart replacement for a while. He had to medically retire, and I think the gratitude I have for Ryan Day putting his arms around Zak and keeping him involved.

“…Ally, my wife, faced some stuff. It’s been a tough year for me behind the scenes. My wife got diagnosed with breast cancer, you know (family dog) Ben dies. It was just a lot of emotion, and when you do what we do, you endure. You do your job.

“I think what happened, when they won, I was so happy for Ryan Day and those players, from what they faced and everything they went through. It was almost like a relief, and it just got the best of me.”

The Herbstreits met during their time at Ohio State together, where Kirk was a four-year letterman as a quarterback and Ally was a cheerleader. They had four sons together after getting married, including Zak, who remained with the Buckeyes despite having to medically retire following his heart failure.

After calling the Buckeyes’ 34-23 victory alongside Chris Fowler, Herbstreit was on the postgame show when Scott Van Pelt decided to start with the Ohio State alum after seeing him teary-eyed.

Herbstreit did not mention what he said to McAfee, but he did discuss the resiliency of this Buckeyes group this season.

“Oh, don’t start with me, man,” Herbstreit, who grew up about an hour away from Ohio State in Centerville, told Van Pelt during the postgame show. “I’m a little emotional. I’m just fired up for these guys.

“When I call these games, I’m incredibly objective. You know, I love all these Ohio State teams, but this team, because of what they went through to get to this point, you’re just happy.”

When the cameras cut back to the broadcast booth, Herbstreit was spotted grabbing a handkerchief off camera to wipe tears away as Fowler continued to speak.
