Left-wing billionaires bankroll Dem super PAC plotting to win back working-class voters: ‘This is a priority’

The top super PAC supporting House Democrats has created a $50 million fund aimed at finding ways to win back working-class voters thanks to some of the richest Democrats in the country.

“We’re laying a marker down now,” Mike Smith, president of the House Majority PAC, told the New York Times about his group’s “Win Them Back Fund,” which was created to appeal to working-class voters that shifted away from the party in the November election.

    “This is a priority.”

The list of donors to the House Majority PAC over the last few years includes several Democratic billionaires such as businessman Michael Bloomberg, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, hedge fund manager Tom Steyer, and Linked In co-founder Reid Hoffman.

FEC records show that Bloomberg gave $13 million to the PAC between 2023 and 2024 to go along with $3 million from Pritzker and $2 million from Steyer.

Hoffman gave over $1.5 million to the PAC, according to FEC records.

Other high-profile donations to the House Majority PAC include $10 million from philanthropist Fred Eychaner, $3.5 million from investor Stephen Mandel Jr., and $2 million from software developer Chris Wanstrath.

The PAC announced it will target roughly a dozen specific races, including GOP Reps. Nick Begich in Alaska; Eli Crane, in Arizona’s 2nd District; David Valadao, California’s 22nd District; Ken Calvert, California’s 41st District; Gabe Evans, Colorado’s 8th District; Mariannette Miller-Meeks, Iowa’s 1st District; John James, Michigan’s 10th District.

“One of the major roadblocks we have faced as a party has been declining support among a multi-racial group of working class voters,” HMP said in a press release this week. “That’s why HMP is today launching a 2026 Win Them Back Fund focused on ensuring that we win back working class voters across the congressional battlefield. “

“While Democrats at the Presidential level have consistently lost ground with working class voters for over the last decade, House Democrats like Reps. Adam Gray, Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, Don Davis, and Gabe Vasquez continue to overperform with this crucial bloc of voters. Their victories demonstrate that House Democrats can win back this coalition of voters with the support of strategic investments in recruitment, research, and programming.”

In a statement to Fox News Digital regarding the billionaires’ support, House Majority PAC communications director CJ Warnke said, “The Trump administration is currently being run by Ghislaine Maxwell’s BFF Elon Musk and the richest, most elite, and out-of-touch men on the planet.”

“Their plan is to steal benefits from hardworking Americans and enrich themselves even further, and House Democrats will put an end to their scams and schemes,” he continued.

A long list of polls, pundits and politicians have publicly concluded since the November election that the Democratic Party shifted away from working-class voters during the presidential campaign, causing Republican victories in key House and Senate races along with President Donald Trump’s return to the White House.

“It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them,” Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., posted on X after the election. “While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change. And they’re right.”

President Donald Trump is expected to attend Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans on Sunday to watch the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.

Trump would be the first sitting president to attend the game, according to the New York Post. Punchbowl News first reported the president was expected to head to Caesars Superdome for the game. The Associated Press confirmed the report, citing a White House official.

A source familiar with the matter also told Fox News Digital he would be at the game.

The president has attended college football games over the last few years. He made his presence felt at the Alabama-Georgia game in September and attended the Army-Navy game after he won the election over Vice President Kamala Harris.

Trump didn’t attend many NFL games the first time around as he clashed with players’ decision to kneel for the national anthem as a form of protest against social injustice. He was at the Pittsburgh Steelers’ game against the New York Jets in October after a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

He will have plenty of fans in attendance at the game. Brittany Mahomes and her mother-in-law Randi both supported the president during his re-election campaign.

NFL to remove ‘End Racism’ phrase from end zones for Super Bowl LIX

The words “End Racism” will not be featured in the back of end zones during Super Bowl LIX between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

Instead, the phrases “Choose Love” and “It Takes All of Us” will be emblazoned in the end zones at the Caesars Superdome. NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told The Athletic on Tuesday the decision came amid the recent tragedies that have occurred in the U.S. since the start of 2025, including the terror attack in New Orleans, wildfires in the Los Angeles area and the deadly plane crash near a Washington, D.C., airport.

“We felt it was an appropriate statement for what the country has collectively endured, given recent tragedies, and can serve as an inspiration,” he told the outlet.

McCarthy added that “End Racism” was only seen during the Eagles’ NFC Championship win against the Washington Commanders. The AFC Championship, in which the Chiefs topped the Buffalo Bills, included the aforementioned phrases.

The “End Racism” stencil debuted in 2020 after a summer of racial turmoil in the U.S. The phrase was featured in the Chiefs’ end zone in last year’s Super Bowl. The San Francisco 49ers had “It Takes All of Us.”

The NFL’s move to remove it for the Super Bowl came as NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell defended the league’s diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies.

“We got into diversity efforts because we felt like it was the right thing for the National Football League, and we’re going to continue those efforts because we’ve not only convinced ourselves, we’ve proven ourselves, that it does make the NFL better,” Goodell said. “We’re not in this because it’s a trend to get in or a trend to get out of it.

“Our efforts are fundamental in trying to attract the best possible talent in the National Football League, both on and off the field, as I said previously. We see that. We see how it benefits the National Football League, and so I think we’ll continue those efforts.”

Goodell said the league’s DEI efforts were a reflection of the foundation of the league.

“I think it’s also clearly a reflection on our fan base and our communities and our players. People talk a lot about the Rooney Rule… for us there’s no requirement to hire a particular individual on the basis of race or gender. It’s simply on the basis of looking at a campus of candidates that reflect our communities and to look at the kind of talent that exists there, and then you make the best decision on who is hired,” he added.

  • Schumer mocked for Corona and guac clip warning Trump tariffs will hurt Super Bowl parties: ‘Not good at this’

Schumer mocked for Corona and guac clip warning Trump tariffs will hurt Super Bowl parties: ‘Not good at this’

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer was criticized for his public response to President Donald Trump threatening a potential trade war with Mexico and Canada.

Just prior to Trump negotiating separate weekslong pauses on major tariffs set to go into effect, Schumer sought to make a kitchen table issue of their potential negative effects ahead of the Super Bowl – which is airing Sunday on FOX.

“It’s going to affect beer, OK,” Schumer said, holding up a tall can of Corona Extra. “Most of it, Corona here, comes from Mexico.”

“It’s going to affect your guac – because what is guacamole made of? Avocados. If you have pizza, it’s going to affect the cost of cheese.”

SCHUMER SUPPORTS DEMS DELAYING ALL TRUMP NOMINEES THAT LACK UNANIMOUS SUPPORT

Schumer, D-N.Y., added that tariffs will mean “higher prices for New Yorkers” and that “everything you were promised during the election is out the window if these tariffs go through.”

Left-leaning comedian Jon Stewart opened his “Daily Show” by lambasting Trump’s initial orders regarding federal email pronouns but also saved some comic invective for Schumer.

“Your response to the trade war is to f—ing tell us guacamole is made of avocados?” Stewart said, adding that Democrats need to stop “trotting Schumer out every time Trump traverses into the unreal – He’s not good at this.”

In a now-deleted Father’s Day post on X, Schumer photographed himself in front of a grill with raw burger patties topped with cheese – with commenters suggesting the Democrat misrepresented his grilling skills in that cheese is added after the burger is cooked.

ELON DUNKS ON SEN. SCHUMER OVER DOGE CRITICISMS

After Schumer’s beer and avocado comments, critics, including conservative pundit Matt Walsh, said the lawmaker’s claim that “most beer” comes from Mexico is false.

“Corona is one of the few exceptions, and it tastes like dishwater. All the good beer is brewed right here in America,” Walsh said as Schumer’s state is home to hundreds of breweries, and the northeast region is also home to top brands Yuengling, Samuel Adams, Tröegs, Natty Boh and Straub.

“Someone want to remind Chuck that Genessee beer is made in Rochester: [In] the state he supposedly represents,” an X critic said.

To that end, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp referenced Schumer’s past cookout faux-pas, posting a selfie with a can of Coors and the caption.

“Senator Schumer may want to stick to politics and leave beer (and cooking burgers) to the rest of us. This [Coors] was brewed in the great state of Georgia, by the way!”

OutKick founder Clay Travis said the clip showed why Democrats “can’t handle the Trump administration so far.”

“[The] Trump team is moving at the speed of business & the Democrats are moving at the speed of government. Watch this Chuck Schumer awkward attack. They’re too slow to react,” Travis said.

Former Trump aide Steve Cortes remarked that Schumer’s remarks had “echoes of Joe Biden’s ‘Despacito’ stunt” – a 2020 incident when Biden spoke at a Hispanic Heritage event in Kissimmee, Florida, with the song’s performer, Luis Fonsi.

Biden told the crowd he had “one thing to say” – and pulled out his phone to play “Despacito,” which came through grainy on the event’s microphone as he bobbed his head with the music.

In another post, Rep. Beth van Duyne, R-Texas, said Trump’s tariff strategy proved the effectiveness of “negotiating from a position of strength” while Schumer is “standing around with a beer in one hand and an avocado in the other, refusing to recognize this as a win.”

Other critics claimed Schumer asserted the products he showcased could not be produced without Mexico.

“We produce enough avocados in California, Florida and Hawaii,” one commenter claimed.

“Who had Chuck Schumer selling Mexican beer on their 2025 bingo card,” another X user wrote.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Monday the clip proves Democrats remain out of touch with Americans, and that while “Schumer is whining about the cost of a pint of beer, President Trump is talking about saving American lives” from fentanyl.

The U.S. produced nearly 80% of its beer consumed in 2023, according to the National Beer Wholesalers Association. About 20% was imported, chiefly from Mexico, Germany, Holland, Canada, Ireland and Japan. U.S. avocado consumption counts Mexico as its largest share. However, in the 1980s, domestic production contributed to the largest proportion of consumption.

Schumer did not respond to a request for comment.

  • Cybercriminals’ sneaky game plan to take advantage of Super Bowl fans

Cybercriminals’ sneaky game plan to take advantage of Super Bowl fans

Super Bowl LIX is set to take place this Sunday at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans and is expected to draw a record-breaking audience of 116.8 million viewers. While this massive event generates excitement, it also attracts cybercriminals looking to exploit unsuspecting fans. Here are four common ways hackers target football fans leading up to the big game.

Scam tactic #1: Mobile phishing and payment app scams

Cybercriminals will try to exploit the Super Bowl’s reliance on digital ticketing and mobile apps. Fans may receive text messages or social media alerts that appear to be from official payment apps, urging them to “confirm” their information for last-minute ticket upgrades or exclusive merchandise deals. These phishing attempts could lead to fake websites designed to steal banking details.

HOW TO SCORE A GREAT DEAL ON A TV BEFORE THE SUPER BOWL

    Scam tactic #2: Pay-to-play scams

Scammers create fake “exclusive raffles” or contests, claiming fans have a chance to win VIP tickets or unique experiences if they pay a small entry fee. These scams often rely on urgency and the fear of missing out. The Better Business Bureau has warned about fraudulent sports betting apps encouraging users to place “guaranteed bets on upcoming games.”

TECH THAT’S SURE TO MAKE YOUR SUPER BOWL PARTY A HUGE SUCCESS

Scam tactic #3: Unauthorized ticket resellers

Scoring last-minute Super Bowl tickets can feel like a victory until you find out they are fake. Sketchy ticket resellers flood search results and social media with deals that seem too good to be true. Online ticket fraud is becoming increasingly common. While some tickets may be legitimate, many are not, with fans spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars for nothing.

Scammers often utilize automation and artificial intelligence to identify and target potential victims based on the language used in their posts. For instance, scammers search for popular buzzwords and hashtags that people use when looking to buy tickets, such as #SuperBowl, #SuperBowlTickets or #LookingForTickets. They then respond to these posts with messages that contain links to other platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram or Cash App, where they attempt to finalize fraudulent deals.

HOW TO GET YOUR TV GAME-READY FOR THE SUPER BOWL

Scam tactic #4: Social media scams

If a social media ad is offering free NFL tickets or merchandise, there is a catch. These scams appear everywhere, promising fans exclusive giveaways if they cover a small shipping fee or provide personal details. The posts look official, sometimes even using fake endorsements from players or teams, making them easy to fall for.

Scammers also use cross-platform operations to evade detection and bans by social media platforms. They will identify and initiate communications with you on one social media platform before requesting you switch to another. This is likely an attempt to prevent one social media platform from gaining full insight into fraudulent activity and banning accounts.

The moment you enter your information or payment details, you have handed cybercriminals access to your bank account. And those free tickets or jerseys never arrive. Scammers rely on the excitement of game day to push people into acting without thinking. The truth is simple. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Scam tactic #5: Offering massive discounts

Finally, scammers may offer massive discounts for Super Bowl tickets to entice you to buy quickly. They may state they just want to sell the tickets “last minute” to justify large, attractive discounts, such as 50% off or more. They may also claim to have a personal or professional reason for not being able to attend the event, such as a family emergency or a work conflict. Scammers often use these excuses to pressure victims into making hasty decisions and transferring money without verifying the tickets.

MOST TALKED ABOUT SUPER BOWL ADS

Safeguarding your Super Bowl experience from cyber threats

While scammers will try to prey on Super Bowl fans, you are not completely helpless. Dave Lewis, Global Advisory CISO at 1Password, shared some tips on staying safe leading up to the games. These are not complicated strategies, just simple cybersecurity practices that are easy to follow.

    1) Buy tickets from trusted sources: Only purchase from official sites/apps and other reputable channels. Double-check URLs to avoid lookalike sites (which are designed to mimic legitimate event pages). Platforms like Facebook Marketplace, Eventbrite and Nextdoor are also hot spots for scams, so be cautious of sellers “requiring a deposit” through peer-to-peer financial apps like Cash App, Venmo or Zelle.

    2) Watch out for event-related phishing attacks: If a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. Cybercriminals often time their phishing attacks around large events like the Super Bowl, offering fake discount tickets, VIP experiences, free food vouchers, etc. Always verify offers through the event’s official website or app and never agree to anything over the phone. Double-check the sender’s email address and hover over links before clicking to ensure they lead to legitimate event sites.

The best way to safeguard yourself from malicious links that install malware, potentially accessing your private information, is to have antivirus software installed on all your devices. This protection can also alert you to phishing emails and ransomware scams, keeping your personal information and digital assets safe. Get my picks for the best 2025 antivirus protection winners for your Windows, Mac, Android and iOS devices.

    3) Keep your phone software and apps updated: Regularly update your device’s operating system (i.e., iOS, macOS, Windows, Android, others). “While constant notifications can be an annoyance at the moment, these updates are essential for keeping your devices secure,” Lewis said. If you’re not sure how to get started, check out this extensive guide on how to update all your devices.

    4) Use strong, unique passwords and enable two-factor authentication (2FA): Create complex passwords for all your accounts, especially those related to ticket purchases or event information. Use a password manager to generate and store these securely. Enable 2FA wherever possible, particularly for email and payment accounts. This adds an extra layer of security by requiring a second form of verification, such as a code sent to your phone, in addition to your password. For the Super Bowl, this is especially crucial for any official NFL or ticketing apps you might be using.

    5) Be wary of QR codes: While convenient, QR codes can be exploited by hackers for malicious purposes. Only scan QR codes from trusted sources, such as the official event organizer. If unsure, check for signs of tampering, like stickers placed over legitimate codes or poor print quality. When in doubt, don’t scan it. As a precaution, always keep your antivirus software running to prevent malware infections from scanning a scam QR code. If you don’t have antivirus software, check out my top recommendations here.

    6) Beware of scammers using social engineering techniques: For example, they may encourage you to transfer money immediately as they allegedly have other prospective buyers. They may also use emotional appeals, such as sympathy, guilt or urgency, to manipulate you into making a decision. Scammers often use these tactics to pressure victims into paying before verifying the tickets.

    7) Be wary of individuals showing receipts or proof of purchase: This is not a guarantee that an individual is in possession of a ticket, and it can be easily faked. Scammers can use fake receipts to convince victims that they bought the tickets from legitimate sources, such as Ticketmaster, StubHub or SeatGeek.

    8) Exercise caution when interacting with individuals asking for you to “name your price” or are selling below ticket value: This may be a sign that they are trying to lure you into a scam with a too-good-to-be-true offer. Scammers often use this strategy to attract victims who are looking for cheap or affordable tickets.

    9) Be cautious when interacting with people claiming to sell tickets on behalf of a friend or family member: This may provide an excuse for scammers using compromised bank accounts with the account holder’s name different from the social media account being used. Scammers often use this pretext to explain the discrepancy between the names on the accounts.

    10) Review the account’s recent history: Some scammers may claim to be selling tickets to multiple high-profile events, such as sports games, music concerts and conferences at one time. This may indicate that they are running a large-scale scam operation and are not genuine sellers. Scammers often post multiple ads for different events on the same or different platforms, using the same or similar images and descriptions.

    11) Exercise caution and validate ownership: Do this even when purchasing items from friends or friends of friends on social media. A family member or friend’s account can be compromised and used by a scammer. Friends of the victim can vouch for the account user as a legitimate seller, not realizing the account had been hacked.

MASSIVE SECURITY FLAW PUTS MOST POPULAR BROWSERS AT RISK ON MAC

    Kurt’s key takeaway

Scammers are always looking for new ways to take advantage of football fans, especially during major events like the Super Bowl. Whether it is fake ticket sales, phishing scams or bogus giveaways, the risks are real. You can easily avoid becoming a victim of these types of attacks by staying vigilant and being cautious of emails and links that ask for personal information.

But Brady had Mahomes’ number in the latter stages of his career. Brady and the Buccaneers topped Mahomes and Chiefs in Super Bowl LV. Brady and the Patriots also defeated Mahomes and the Chiefs in the 2018 AFC Championship.

Mahomes had three playoff losses and Brady is responsible for two of them. Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is the other.

A lot of the pressure will be off of Swift this time around. The pop star was still on the “Eras Tour” when the Chiefs clinched a berth in the Super Bowl last year. She witnessed the team win the AFC Championship against the Baltimore Ravens but needed to head to Japan for the Asian leg of the tour. She still made it and watched Kansas City go back-to-back.

Swift was not at every Chiefs games this season but showed up when it mattered – the playoffs. She watched the Chiefs top the Houston Texans and narrowly overcome the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship.

Super Bowl 2025: What this year’s game meal with cost

Wells Fargo economists said navigating the supermarket for the Super Bowl food will be a challenge, as game-day food pricing will fluctuate like a “seesaw.” Some fan favorites will cost as much as 12% more compared with last year, while others will see significant price decreases.

A menu of food and drinks for 10 people is estimated to cost just over $139, Wells Fargo Chief Agricultural Economist Michael Swanson said in a recent report. It’s in line with the same price paid in 2024, which was only about 10 cents more.

“Consumers are faced with the new challenge of becoming ‘food fluent’ given ongoing price fluctuation,” the report said. The reason for this is that some categories can grow supply much faster, like field vegetables versus avocados, which take years to expand. Secondly, some categories just have strong consumer demand, according to Swanson.

“Unlike the last four years, there are both food prices that are falling as well as rising,” Swanson told FOX Business. “The option the last couple of years were whether they went up a lot or a little.”

He said that there are “important categories that are noticeably lower than last year.” For instance, he referenced categories like frozen pizza, which saw its price decline year over year.

“That speaks to a competitive supply taking advantage of good harvests for crops,” Swanson said.

But this seesawing means that consumers will have choices that can save them money. For instance, Swanson noted that consumer demand drove up costs for things like avocados and chicken wings, but consumers can use shrimp tacos for savings with lower prices than a year ago.

If saving money this year is top of mind, Swanson said this year’s Wells Fargo Agri-Food Institute pricing chart identifies what to avoid.

    Vegetables:

Certain vegetables like broccoli saw costs fall 7.2% compared with 2024. But cherry tomatoes are up 11.9% compared with this time last year.

    Avocados:

Fresh avocado prices are up 11.5% compared with a year ago. Prepared guacamole dip is up only 1.5% over the same period. Making guacamole from scratch, despite the rise in avocados, will be cost-effective, according to Wells Fargo.

Eagles’ Saquon Barkley makes clear ‘dream wasn’t just getting’ to Super Bowl LIX

For Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley, the dream has yet to be realized.

Barkley appeared at the Caesars Superdome ahead of Super Bowl LIX on Monday night. He and his teammates met with members of the media for opening night with the game against the Kansas City Chiefs less than a week away.

The star player told FOX Sports’ Peter Schrager he didn’t envision the fanfare that occurs before the game but “definitely envisions playing in this game.

“That’s why me and my family made the decision to come to Philadelphia, to have an opportunity to play in the Super Bowl. And here we are,” he said.

Barkley joined the Eagles in the offseason after the New York Giants allowed him to test the free-agent waters. It proved to be the move of the offseason as he nearly broke Eric Dickerson’s rushing record during the regular season, tallying up 2,005 yards on 345 carries. He scored 13 touchdowns on the ground as well.

“It’s simple — it took everyone. For us to do what we wanna do, it’ll take everyone again,” he said.

Barkley said he was just “thankful” to be put in a position to succeed. But he knows the job is far from finished. Getting to the Super Bowl wasn’t the goal — winning it was.

“It’ll be amazing, something I’ve dreamed about since I was a little kid,” he said what he thinks he’ll feel when he talks out of the tunnel at the game. “To actually be here and finally have it come to light will be amazing. But the dream wasn’t just getting there.
