Super Bowl LIX to highlight small businesses with help from Google’s AI

The Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages for marketing. This year, Google is using it to turn the spotlight on small businesses throughout America that are benefitting from its artificial intelligence models.

As part of its “50 Stories, 50 States” campaign, Google will illustrate the impact of artifical intelligence on small businesses by featuring 50 customer stories from all 50 states. The ads will appear next to commercials from some of the biggest brands in the world that doled out millions for the coveted airtime.

Massachusetts’ Joe the Architect, Oregon’s Jacobsen’s Salt Co, New Jersey’s Nuts.com and Texas’ Bison Coolers will be among the businesses profiled, along with their use of Google Gemini.

It comes as AI is taking center stage across a wide range of industries and in aspects of everyday life. At the same time, it’s also fueling panic among politicians and investors, as China’s DeepSeek begins to catch up with U.S. tech companies.

THROWING A SUPER BOWL PARTY? WHAT THIS YEAR’S FOODS WILL COST

“We wanted to show what’s possible with AI in Workspace today, and how real businesses are using it,” Harris Beber, head of Global Marketing for Workspace, said. “What better way to show the unexpected ways AI helps real businesses in America than to let them share their stories?”

Gemini, Google’s generative AI chatbot formerly known as Bard, has a core functionality included with Workspace business and enterprise plans, allowing customers to access tools that can help them with everything from writing grant proposals to developing marketing copy to mocking up designs in Slides, Harris said.

Google said it specifically highlighted the impact of its technology on small businesses as they are a critical driver of the U.S. economy. The more than 34 million small businesses in the U.S. account for 43.5% of gross domestic product, according to the Small Business Administration (SBA). They also account for 99.9% of all businesses.

“Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy. We take a lot of pride in knowing that we’re helping create jobs here in the US,” Bison Coolers co-founder Jeremy Denson said. “We’ve been able to save and create jobs at both of our domestic plants, and it’s incredibly rewarding to know that we’re contributing to both our local communities as well as our economy.”

Denson said that the company doesn’t have the resources its competitors do because it’s a small, family-owned business. His company provides heavy-duty coolers ideal for camping, hunting and marine use. It manufactures everything in the U.S.

Denson said his company relies on Workspace and Gemini to be more efficient in its daily operations as well as our marketing needs.

“We use AI to help craft marketing emails, product descriptions, social media posts or any other opportunities that can help improve efficiency and quality,” he said.

It has helped them maintain profitability despite higher manufacturing costs.

“Being able to accomplish more with less allows us to focus more on strategy, product development and driving growth,” Denson said.

Other businesses highlighted vary across a range of industries. Some of the other 50 businesses include the Custard Stand in Webster Springs, West Virginia; the American Cornhole League in Rock Hill, South Carolina; and Morgan Ranch in Omaha, Nebraska, which produces premium wagyu beef for global markets.

Trump’s Super Bowl LIX visit would be ‘great honor,’ Chiefs star Travis Kelce says

Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce reacted on Wednesday to the possibility of President Donald Trump going to Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.

Trump is expected to attend the game and become the first sitting president to do so, a source told Fox News Digital on Tuesday. A White House official also told The Associated Press that the 47th president was expected at Caesars Superdome.

Kelce was asked about it at a pre-Super Bowl press conference.

“I think it’s a great honor no matter who the president is,” he said, via the New York Post. “I know I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life, you know, and having the president there, you know, it’s the best country in the world. So, that’d be pretty cool.”

Trump is expected to be with House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, the paper reported.

The Chiefs star joined the team when they made their White House trip to celebrate Super Bowl LVIII’s victory over the San Francisco 49ers with then-President Joe Biden. Kelce joked at the time he was told he’d be tased if he came up to the podium and stole the spotlight.

Kelce didn’t endorse anyone for president. His girlfriend, Taylor Swift, endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris.

Trump was asked on Tuesday who he was pulling for in the game. He was a bit coy with his answer

“I don’t want to say, but there’s a certain quarterback that seems to be a pretty good winner,” he said, appearing to reference Patrick Mahomes.

Trump congratulated the Chiefs on their AFC Championship win over the Buffalo Bills.

“Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “What a GREAT Team, Coach, Quarterback, and virtually everything else, including those fantastic FANS, that voted for me (MAGA!) in record numbers. Likewise, congratulations to the Buffalo Bills on a tremendous season. They will do a lot of winning long into the future!!!”

  • Super Bowl scams: What they are and how to avoid them

Super Bowl scams: What they are and how to avoid them

There are many tactics used to trick scammers during major events like the Super Bowl. Fake travel groups, counterfeit tickets and merchandise, and unauthorized hospitality packages are just some of them, according to experts.

Consumers should be cautious of advertisements seen on Google that may direct them to fraudulent websites, Patrick McCall, a security expert at McCall Risk Group Inc., told FOX Business.

“Make sure you are accessing the correct and legitimate site and check the spelling in the web bar to make sure it’s correct,” McCall said, adding that it’s important to type the URL directly into the browser rather than clicking on links from Google search results.

The company has seen ads for well-known sites like Ticketmaster and StubHub, where the spelling appears correct and everything seems legitimate, but users are redirected to a counterfeit site designed to look like the real one.

SPORTS TIRADES: ACT IMPULSIVELY, AND YOU COULD LOSE YOUR JOB

McCall recommends that consumers use the official NFL website for information on how to buy from verified resellers and sources. They could also use the website VerifiedTicketSource.com.

For added security, he said consumers should pay for tickets with a credit card so they have protection in case they need to dispute the charge. That means avoiding payment methods such as Venmo, Cash App, cash or gift cards.

Business strategist Marva Bailer told FOX Business that the “scam trail doesn’t stop at tickets,” either.

Bad actors are already coming up with tactics to exploit the excitement surrounding the Super Bowl and that the recent snowstorm in New Orleans “has only added to the intrigue,” said Bailer.

DAVE PORTNOY OUT $1M AFTER BETTING ON THE BUFFALO BILLS

“Scammers often weave current events into their tactics to appear more credible. For instance, they might use ‘terms and conditions’ referencing weather-related policies, rescheduling scenarios, or enhanced security measures to create an illusion of legitimacy,” Bailer said, adding that these are fake terms “often riddled with vague language, grammatical errors or inconsistencies.”

One common way is something as miniscule as “no return” instead of the correct “no returns.”

“Legitimate organizations invest in professional, polished policies, so reading the fine print carefully can save you from falling into a trap,” she added.

This means before booking a flight, consumers need to look for red flags like suspicious refund policies, spelling errors and inconsistencies in contact information.

Another tactic scammers are leveraging is “targeted outreach.” Consumers may get messages saying: “You’ve been selected to win Super Bowl tickets!” or “Special fan offers just for you!” These messages often come with personalized details and even reference their recent online activity to add to the authenticity of the scam.

Consumers shouldn’t engage with unknown sources, especially if they haven’t opted into communication from those groups, according to Bailer.

GET FOX BUSINESS ON THE GO BY CLICKING HERE

The power of artificial intelligence is also making phishing scams more convincing, IdentityIQ Chief Innovation Officer Michael Scheumack told FOX Business.

In order to trick consumers, AI-powered phishing attacks use real-time data mining to craft personalized SMS messages, emails and even live phone calls with familiar voices, according to Scheumack.

“When it comes to SMS scams and other phishing scams that take you to a fake betting or sweepstakes site, AI-powered phishing websites adapt to your browsing habits, displaying content relevant to your recent searches,” he added. This makes it even harder to distinguish legitimate sites from deceptive ones.

Trump will ‘soil’ Super Bowl LIX with possible historic appearance, columnist says

As the countdown for Super Bowl LIX continues, a high-profile U.S. political figure is expected to be on hand.

Punchbowl News was first to report that President Donald Trump will likely be in attendance when the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles go head-to-head in this year’s Super Bowl in New Orleans. The Associated Press confirmed the report, citing a White House official.

Trump would be the first sitting president to attend the game, per the New York Post

News of Trump’s impending visit to Caesars Superdome this Sunday sparked strong reactions. On Tuesday, an op-ed piece from USA Today columnist Mike Freeman addressed the president’s reported decision to watch the NFL’s championship game in person. Freeman characterized Trump as “the most divisive president of our lifetime.”

He asserted that the Super Bowl is typically a moment in which the majority of Americans come together, despite their differences.

“We put aside politics. We put aside our differences. We take part in a great American tradition,” Freeman noted.

However, instead of allowing the big game to take on its annual role “as a genuine moment of unity,” Freeman argued that Trump’s presence could sully the moment’s integrity.

“Trump soils everything. Now, he’s doing the same to the biggest game of the year,” he continued.

Freeman also pointed to some of the likely logistical concerns Trump’s presence would create for security personnel leading up to and during Sunday.

“There’s a reason sitting presidents don’t normally go. It’s potentially a security nightmare. But also, to me, they want the game to be the center of attention, not them,” he wrote.

Trump did not attend many NFL games during his first term in the White House. However, he did make an appearance at the Pittsburgh Steelers’ game against the New York Jets in October following a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

The president has been a more frequent guest at college football games over the last few years. He made his presence felt at the Alabama-Georgia game in September and attended the Army-Navy game following the 2024 U.S. presidential election.

The news of Trump’s upcoming appearance coincided with a report from The Athletic about the NFL’s decision to switch the “End Racism” end zone signage to messages of “Choose Love” and “It Takes All of Us.” The messages are one facet of the league’s multilayered “Inspire Change,” which was created in 2018 and makes efforts to advance diversity and inclusion.

  • Why Giants’ Jalin Hyatt will be rooting for Saquon Barkley in Super Bowl LIX: ‘He was like a big bro’

Why Giants’ Jalin Hyatt will be rooting for Saquon Barkley in Super Bowl LIX: ‘He was like a big bro’

New York Giants wide receiver Jalin Hatt was hungry coming off his Biletnikoff Award-winning season with the Tennessee Volunteers when he was selected in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

But college success doesn’t always translate smoothly to the pros. Great coaches, and even better teammates, can help ease that process for young players looking to make their mark on the league.

That’s why Hyatt will be putting divisional rivalries to the side when it comes to Saquon Barkley, the superstar Philadelphia Eagles running back who was Hyatt’s teammate in 2023.

SIGN UP FOR TUBI AND STREAM SUPER BOWL LIX FOR FREE

“I’m proud of Saquon,” Hyatt told Fox News Digital while discussing his partnership with World of Hyatt at Super Bowl LIX. “When I came in as a rookie when he was here [with the Giants], he was like a big bro for me.

“Helping me through the facility, helping me through plays on the field. Just really being a leader for me, and I have so much respect for him for that. Just to see what he’s doing over there with the Eagles, I’m really not surprised what he’s doing. He’s a special player. I’m definitely going to be rooting for him for sure for what he can do. I’m just proud of him.”

Now, Giants fans, don’t get on Hyatt too quickly after saying he will be rooting for Barkley. It doesn’t mean he wants to see the Eagles hoisting the trophy Sunday night.

He thinks their opponent, the Kansas City Chiefs, will win for a third straight year.

“I love Sa, I love Saquon. That’s one of my friends, so I’ll be rooting for him personally,” Hyatt said, smiling. “But I do like the Chiefs. I like Pat Mahomes. I like Xavier Worthy. I like a lot of those guys over there. Not only that, they’ve been there. They’re comfortable being in that spotlight.”

Hyatt touched on the “two business decisions” made between Barkley and the Giants in the offseason, which sent the franchise’s fan base into a spiral. Barkley was clearly the team’s best player, but after spending so much on Daniel Jones with a four-year, $160 million contract, the Giants slapped the franchise tag on their star running back and never worked out an extension.

Barkley ended up getting what he wanted from the Eagles, while the Giants released Jones mid-season during a 3-14 campaign.

    Saquon Barkley waves

“I think that Sa, if he didn’t want to be here with the Giants, he’s obviously going to have his places he wanted to go and where he wanted to play,” Hyatt said. “Obviously, with the Giants, it’s a big business with them. ‘Do we want him? Do we want to continue to have Saquon on our team, or do we want to go somewhere else?’ I just think it was a business decision on both ends.

“Obviously, I wanted Saquon to stay just because he’s big bro for me, helping me as a rookie when I came in. So, I was sad when he left.”

Hyatt knows he and the team have to move on.

That’s what Barkley has tried to do, yet the trolling by NFL fans on the Giants has gotten significantly worse in recent weeks because of his performances. When Barkley spoke Monday night to quarterback Jameis Winston about possibly joining the Giants in free agency, it had people speculating he was taking a jab at his former squad.

But the Giants must sleep in the bed they made, and the only way to silence critics will be winning games.

Hyatt will be doing his part to have a bounce-back 2025 season after a down year in 2024 (he played just 33% of offensive snaps), which begins with offseason training in Dallas after the Super Bowl.

But first, Hyatt will be watching closely Sunday to see his friend and former teammate play.

MAKING MEMORIES WITH WORLD OF HYATT

With the last name fitting perfectly, Hyatt has partnered with World of Hyatt for three years, and they’ve collaborated on a fun experience.

World of Hyatt’s Find Experiences in New Orleans and New York City offer custom experiences where Hyatt members can bid points on the football star’s Guide to New Orleans, for example, which includes a two-night stay at the Hyatt Centric French Quarter New Orleans with a guest, food, walking tours and a custom welcome video from the football star himself.

  • Keith Olbermann drops F-bomb in reaction to NFL ditching ‘End Racism’ phrase in end zones for Super Bowl

Keith Olbermann drops F-bomb in reaction to NFL ditching ‘End Racism’ phrase in end zones for Super Bowl

A common occurrence in NFL end zones over the last four-plus years, the “End Racism” message will not appear in the end zones during the Super Bowl.

A trend that began in the 2020 NFL opener amid racial tensions in the United States. NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told The Athletic on Tuesday that the league will go a different route.

Instead, the end zones at Super Bowl LIX will feature the phrases “Choose Love” and “It Takes All of Us.”

McCarthy cited the recent tragedies that have occurred in the U.S. since the start of 2025, including the terror attack in New Orleans, wildfires in the Los Angeles area and the deadly plane crash near a Washington, D.C., airport.

Well, the NFL’s decision was not taken kindly by former ESPN employee turned political commentator Keith Olbermann.

“Guess what @nfl? If you’re against “Stop Racism,” that means you’re FOR… Racism. F–k you and every one of your advertisers,” he posted to X on Tuesday.

“End Racism” was only seen during the Eagles’ NFC Championship win against the Washington Commanders. The AFC Championship, in which the Chiefs topped the Buffalo Bills, included the aforementioned phrases.

The league’s move to remove it for the Super Bowl came as NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell defended the league’s diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies.

We got into diversity efforts because we felt like it was the right thing for the National Football League, and we’re going to continue those efforts because we’ve not only convinced ourselves, we’ve proven ourselves, that it does make the NFL better,” Goodell said. “We’re not in this because it’s a trend to get in or a trend to get out of it.

Chiefs’ Andy Reid commits to another year of coaching ahead of Super Bowl rematch with Eagles: ‘I’ll be back’

Andy Reid has spent the past 26 years as an NFL coach. Next month, he’ll celebrate his 67th birthday.

Reid has built a Hall of Fame-worthy resume, but he will spend this week focusing on the present, not the future.

He will be on the sideline in New Orleans Sunday when the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles face off in the Super Bowl.

Reid is a three-time Super Bowl-winning head coach and is the only head coach in NFL history who has recorded 100 wins with two different teams. He was the Philadelphia Eagles’ head coach from 1999-2012 and has coached the Chiefs since the 2013 season.

Reid will enter the 2025 regular season as the second-oldest coach in the league, behind only 73-year-old Pete Carroll. The Las Vegas Raiders hired Carroll earlier this month.

Given his age and accomplishments, some have raised questions about when Reid will decide to step away from football. Shortly after the Chiefs arrived in New Orleans for the big game, the longtime head coach addressed the speculation about his coaching future.

“Yes, I’ll be back,” Reid said.

Reid’s statement supports Chiefs owner Clark Hunt’s hopes the coach was not “remotely close” to calling it quits.

“I don’t have a sense that he’s remotely close to wanting to be done,” Hunt recently told reporters. “I think he’s always said he’ll know when the time is right, and I’m sure he’ll share with me before he shares with everyone else — at least, I hope so. I don’t sense he’s anywhere close to being done.”

Don Shula, Bill Belichick and George Halas make up the short list of coaches in NFL history to win 300 regular-season games. Reid is credited with 273 regular-season wins and 28 playoff wins.

But Reid made it clear his plans to return next season were not made in an effort to surpass former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick on the coaching all-time wins list.

“That’s not part of it,” Reid said. “I just enjoy teaching. I don’t get caught up much in the stats or the records. I enjoy being around the guys. I enjoy football, the game. You can’t put in the hours we do and not enjoy it. I love the game.”

Famed broadcaster says he’s picking Chiefs to win Super Bowl because of Taylor Swift

Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Andy Reid, top defense, back-to-back championships. None of that matters, according to Brent Musburger.

The Kansas City Chiefs are aiming to become the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowl titles, and Musburger said he believed Taylor Swift, the girlfriend of the star tight end Kelce, is a primary reason why.

“I don’t look at stats and things like that. I look for offbeat stories to pick my winners,” Musburger boldly quipped on “What the Football” this week.

Trends are trends, and Musburger may just be picking the best trend of all.

“Taylor Swift has attended nine Chiefs games in Kansas City, all in Kansas City this year, and they are 9-0. And if you go back to last year, I believe the winning streak with Taylor Swift in attendance is around 13 or 14 … and that’s one of the reasons,” he said.

The other reason also has nothing to do with the Chiefs but partially with their opponent, the Philadelphia Eagles, in an odd sense.

Musburger added that another reason the Chiefs will win the Lombardi Trophy again is because no team to make the playoffs has ever won the Super Bowl after losing a regular season game to Kirk Cousins.

The “Curse of Cousins” has taken down 14 teams since Cousins joined the league in 2012, and the Eagles, who lost to Cousins’ Atlanta Falcons in Week 2, are next on the list.

Cousins faced the Chiefs this season, but the Chiefs earned a 22-17 win. No, Swift was not in attendance, but imagine Musburger’s potential confusion if the Falcons pulled off that upset.

Chiefs’ Andy Reid admits feeling ‘old’ as Super Bowl matchup against son of former Eagles star looms

Reid departed the City of Brotherly Love after the 2012 season and became head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs.

While there are countless story lines leading up to the Super Bowl, Reid was asked to share his thoughts about preparing his team to compete against the son of a former Eagles star linebacker Reid spent several years coaching during his tenure in Philadelphia.

Jeremiah Trotter Jr., the son of Eagles Hall of Famer Jeremiah Trotter Sr., was a fifth-round draft selection last year. The younger Trotter recorded 25 tackles during his rookie season with the Eagles.

“Jeremiah, his father, was one of my favorite players,” Reid said. “This kid, his son, has done a tremendous job. Did it at Clemson and now transferred it to the Eagles. I think it’s a neat deal. He’s wearing the same number, all that. That’s a great deal. Great deal for the family.”

Another intriguing matchup that has received considerable attention leading up to Sunday’s big game is the two opposing star quarterbacks. Chiefs signal-caller Patrick Mahomes is already a three-time Super Bowl winner, while the younger Jalen Hurts is making his second career appearance in the league’s championship game.

The Eagles selected Hurts in the second round in 2020. He helped the Eagles advance to the 2023 Super Bowl but lost 38-35 loss to the Chiefs in that game. This year’s game in New Orleans will be a rematch of that Super Bowl from two years ago.

A victory over the Eagles would secure an unprecedented third consecutive Super Bowl title for the Chiefs. If Philly is victorious, it would be the franchise’s second Super Bowl title.

The Super Bowl kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET Feb. 9 from the Caesars Superdome on FOX.

  • Eagles’ Brandon Graham expects to play in Super Bowl LIX after what he thought was career-ending injury

Eagles’ Brandon Graham expects to play in Super Bowl LIX after what he thought was career-ending injury

A little over two months ago, 36-year-old Brandon Graham was contemplating whether he had played his last NFL snap after tearing his triceps.

Shortly after the injury, the Philadelphia Eagles pass rusher emotionally admitted that it was “pointing toward” his career not ending on his own terms.

Graham even admitted that he was “content” if he were to never play another down – but he seems to have reversed course.

During Super Bowl LIX opening night in New Orleans, Graham said he is “feeling good” and is “excited to be able to play in this game.”

Graham has several hurdles to leap in order to play – a successful week of practice is rather important, but Graham said he is “just enjoying the moment.”

“When I got hurt, I saw it as a possibility,” he said, regarding playing in the Super Bowl. “I talked to people and they said it was a possibility. I rehabbed as hard as I could… So when the time came they would give me the chance.”

TRUMP EXPECTED TO ATTEND SUPER BOWL LIX IN NEW ORLEANS

Graham was on the losing side of the Super Bowl two years ago against Kansas City when he made little impact during his 18 defensive snaps on a slick field that made rushing the passer difficult for everyone.

He did, however, cause the strip-sack against Tom Brady in Super Bowl LII that catapulted the Birds to that title.

Graham’s return would provide an emotional boost, but he hopes to deliver more than that. He had 3.5 sacks in his 11 games before getting hurt.

“If they didn’t feel like I could bring something, they wouldn’t waste their time activating me,” he said.
