Hailee Steinfeld gushes over fiancé Josh Allen’s MVP-caliber season: ‘I’m so proud of that man’

Josh Allen’s MVP-caliber season ended in heartbreak over the weekend after the Buffalo Bills lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC championship game. But for fiancée Hailee Steinfeld, the veteran quarterback is still her MVP.

In an exclusive interview with E! News published Tuesday, the actress and singer opened up about their relationship, Allen’s football career and the team’s success this season.

“To say the least, I am so proud of that man,” Steinfeld said. “Everything he’s done and everything that the team has done together.”

Allen is among the frontrunners for the NFL MVP award. His 76 career wins, 262 total touchdowns and 30,595 total yards are the most by an NFL player in his first seven seasons, and he topped 40 total touchdowns for the fifth straight season.

“He is the hardest-working person I know,” Steinfeld continued.

Allen led the Bills to the postseason for the sixth straight season. But the Chiefs, chasing a historic three-peat, were too much for Buffalo to overcome, and Allen dropped to 0-4 against Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs.

“Yeah, it sucks. You keep going back and thinking about what you could have done differently, plays even throughout the game,” Allen said after the 32-29 loss Sunday. “Any time you lose, you’re going to have those thoughts in your head and just understanding that you’re not promised opportunities like that all the time.”

Allen is still up for the MVP award. The winner will be announced at the NFL Honors ceremony next week ahead of the Super Bowl.

Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill chalks up ‘I’m out’ remark to ‘frustration’ with 2024 season

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill raised eyebrows at the end of the 2024 season when he suggested he wanted a trade from the team after they missed the playoffs.

Hill told reporters he was “out” after the Dolphins lost to the New York Jets, losing a playoff berth to the Denver Broncos. He explained to ESPN on Saturday he was frustrated with how the season played out and chose to express it in a questionable manner.

“What y’all had heard at the end of the season was frustration,” he said. “I’ve been winning my whole life, bruh. Y’all don’t understand, I bust my ass every day. I deserve to feel like that; I deserve to have some kind of opinion.

“Y’all just want me to say, ‘Oh well, get ’em next year?’ Nah, f— that. We’ve got to come back. We got to put some pressure on motherf—–. Y’all got to fix this s—, come on. Add some motherf—— dogs in this b—-. I compete, I love to compete, bruh.”

Rumors swirled immediately after he made the comments, suggesting he requested a trade. But Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said no such request was made.

Hill’s agent Drew Rosenhaus said on “The Pat McAfee Show” earlier this month he believed Hill was committed to the Dolphins, though he didn’t speak to him about the matter.

The star wide receiver fell short of 1,000 yards receiving as the Dolphins faced injuries at quarterback. Hill had 81 catches for 959 yards and six touchdowns. He had four consecutive seasons of at least 1,000 yards before 2024.

  • Joe Namath among Jets legends signing off on Aaron Glenn hire: ‘Wish the season would start next week’

Joe Namath among Jets legends signing off on Aaron Glenn hire: ‘Wish the season would start next week’

Former Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn is reportedly heading to the New York Jets, a team he played for during his NFL career, to become their next head coach.

It’s a move that many Jets legends, including “Broadway Joe” himself, loves to see.

“I’m hoping all [Jets] fans are as thrilled as my family and I are that Aaron Glenn is our new Head Coach,” Jets legendary quarterback Joe Namath posted on X. “I wish the season would start next week.”

NFL.com’s Judy Battista also reported that Hall of Fame coach Bill Parcells, who led Glenn with the Jets and Dallas Cowboys as a player, was fired up to see his former pupil get his due as head coach.

“He’s not afraid to be contentious,” Parcells told Battista. “He’s just feisty. Not rude or impolite. He’s just willing to get his point across.”

DJ Reed, who spent the past three seasons with the Jets and is a free agent this offseason, also sent out a post on X.

JETS HIRE LIONS DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR AARON GLENN AS NEW HEAD COACH: REPORTS

“Glenn is a great look!” he wrote.

Glenn’s departure from Detroit marks the second coordinator under Dan Campbell that found their own head coaching gig elsewhere. While Glenn went to another conference, offensive coordinator Ben Johnson landed with the Chicago Bears, a rival of the Lions in the NFC North.

Glenn’s return to the Jets heated up on Tuesday when he met with team brass. The initial thought was they weren’t going to let him leave the building, as well as GM candidate Lance Newark of the Washington Commanders, to make sure they got the candidates they wanted.

While that didn’t come to fruition, the belief that Glenn wanted the Jets job swirled around social media, and it landed on Wednesday.

Glenn also beat out more than a dozen other coaches in the Jets’ extensive search, including Brian Flores, Jeff Hafley, Ron Rivera and Rex Ryan.

A three-time Pro Bowler, Glenn was drafted 12th overall by the Jets in the 1994 NFL Draft. He spent eight seasons with the franchise before being acquired by the Houston Texans in the 2002 expansion draft.

Glenn takes over a Jets franchise desperately searching for the right man to lead a team back to the playoffs, where they haven’t been since 2010 – the longest drought in football.

One of the big questions for Glenn and whoever ownership brings in as the new GM is whether they want Aaron Rodgers to return to Gang Green in 2025. Of course, Rodgers has to decide if he wishes to play his 21st season in the league.

Either way, Glenn is getting signs of approval from valued members of the franchise outside ownership, which is always a good start.
