Philadelphia police officers reenact Eagles’ tush push ahead of Super Bowl parade

Even the Philadelphia police are getting in on the Eagles’ action.

The Eagles celebrated their Super Bowl victory Friday. And just as the Philly Special from 2018 lives forever in fans’ hearts, the tush push will always have a place in Eagles lore.

Made famous for being pretty much unstoppable, the Birds’ tush push has become a staple.

And while it’s often imitated, it’s never duplicated, at least not nearly to the Eagles’ success rate.

Philadelphia police officers also imitated the play before Friday’s parade.

A video of the police officer tush push was reposted by the NFL and Philadelphia Police Department.

Because of a top-notch offensive line and Jalen Hurts’ ability to squat over 600 pounds, the play has been successful over 90% of the time over the last three years for Philly.

The play has become controversial because it seems that it cannot be stopped. However, it’s clear that nobody is as good at it as the Eagles are.

During the NFC title game, the Washington Commanders’ Frankie Luvu jumped offside numerous times trying to jump the snap for the push, and referees almost awarded the Eagles a touchdown in response.

The Eagles busted out the play for their first of many scores in a 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Marcus Jordan, the son of Michael Jordan, was seen speeding away from Florida law enforcement officers before his vehicle was found stuck on railroad tracks, dashcam video showed.

Officers with the Maitland Police Department found the vehicle immobile on the tracks in the suburb with a commuter train about 10 minutes away. The SUV’s tires were buried in dirt and rock from being spun repeatedly, according to an arrest report.

Jordan was arrested on multiple charges, including cocaine possession and resisting an officer without violence.

When Jordan was asked to get out of the vehicle after smelling alcohol, officials said they noticed his slurred speech and confusion. The arrest report said officers found a bag of what tested positive for cocaine in his pants.

“Bro, I’m Marcus Jordan. I’m Michael Jordan’s son,” he told officers, according to the New York Post. “I’m not doing anything wrong. I’m just trying to get home. And I made a wrong turn, OK?”

Jordan was booked into the Orange County Jail and refused to talk to reporters when he was released Tuesday. Fox News Digital reached out to his representatives for comment.

The 34-year-old is the second-eldest child of the former Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards star. Marcus played high school basketball and later tried his hand at college basketball at the University of Central Florida.

He ended up leaving the program in 2012 and graduated with a bachelor’s degree at The Rosen College of Hospitality Management in 2013.

Marcus has laid low for the most part. He was thrust into the spotlight about two years ago when he began dating Larsa Pippen, the ex-wife of his father’s teammate Scottie Pippen. The relationship lasted for about two years as the couple broke up in 2024.

He has had a brush with the law in the past. He pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct and resisting arrest in an incident in Omaha, Nebraska, in 2012. He was also charged with obstructing a police officer, but the charge was dropped as part of a plea agreement.

Robert Levinson disappearance: FBI wants info on 2 Iranian officers

The FBI released posters Tuesday seeking information about two senior Iranian intelligence officers involved in the disappearance of retired FBI Special Agent Robert Levinson as the agency is vowing to “hold every Iranian official involved in his abduction accountable.”

Levinson was working as a private investigator when he vanished in 2007 after traveling to Iran’s Kish Island. He had reportedly taken part in an unauthorized CIA mission and was presumed dead in 2020.

“The FBI remains steadfast in our commitment to return Bob to his family,” Sanjay Virmani, special agent in charge of the FBI Washington Field Office’s Counterterrorism Division, said in a statement. “Our extensive investigation continues to develop new leads and intelligence, and we will pursue all options to hold every Iranian official involved in his abduction accountable.”

The FBI said the two Iranian officers in the posters – Mohammed Baseri and Ahmad Khazai — “allegedly acted in their capacity as officials of Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security during Bob’s abduction, detention, and probable death.”

“For nearly 18 years, the Iranian government has denied knowledge of Bob’s whereabouts despite senior intelligence officials authorizing Bob’s abduction and detention and launching a disinformation campaign to deflect blame from the Iranian regime,” the FBI added.

The Treasury Department sanctioned both officers in December 2020.

“According to the designation, Baseri has been involved in counterespionage activities inside and outside Iran, as well as sensitive investigations related to Iranian national security issues. He has worked directly with intelligence officials from other countries to harm U.S. interests,” the FBI said. “Khazai has led MOIS delegations to other countries to assess security situations.”

Tennessee lawmaker reintroduces bill to allow veterans, retired cops to work as School Resource Officers

A Tennessee state lawmaker reintroduced a bill for the 2025 legislative session that would look to fill a shortage of School Resource Officers by allowing veterans and retired law enforcement officers to be hired.

Republican Rep. Tim Rudd reintroduced the bill for the 2025 legislative session. It was passed by the House during the last legislative session, but it failed to make it through the Senate.

The bill would allow public charter schools to hire honorably discharged veterans and retired law enforcement officers to serve as School Resource Officers.

Applicants must complete 40 hours of basic training in school policy, pass a test to be eligible to purchase and possess a handgun, receive written authorization to carry or possess a firearm on school grounds, undergo a psychiatric evaluation and pass an FBI criminal history check.

“They still have to go through training. The reason why is to try to find more resource officers in these rural areas, especially so we can protect our children,” Rudd told WTVC.

“This certainly won’t solve the shortage problem, but it will help,” he added. “Ultimately, it’d be up to the school system whether they want to use them, and what guidelines and rules they put in place.”

Rudd says the proposal would help veterans and retired law enforcement officers, but the main priority is to protect the children.

A man who served in the Navy for more than 20 years said the measure could be an opportunity for veterans to find a renewed purpose and be a role model for students.

“They have all the skills that would be necessary to bring into the environment of a school environment as a resource officer,” Mickey McCamish told WTVC.

The transition from military life to civilian life can be difficult for some, but McCamish says these individuals would be perfect role models for students.

“There just couldn’t be a better fit than having veterans as a role model to students in either a resource officer position or just to be a part of the school life,” he said.

Trump pardons former DC police officers convicted in deadly chase

Two police officers convicted in the death of a man riding a moped in Washington, D.C., have received pardons from President Donald Trump, the White House announced Wednesday.

Former Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Lt. Andrew Zabavsky, 56, who was convicted of conspiracy and obstruction of justice, was sentenced in September in the 2020 death of Karon Hylton-Brown. Another former MPD officer, Terence Sutton Jr., 40, was also convicted and sentenced in the case.

In a statement, the White House said Trump granted Zabavsky and Sutton full and unconditional pardons.

On Tuesday, the DC Police Union said it was working with the Trump administration to ensure pardons for Zabavsky and Sutton. That same day, Trump said he approved pardons for both men.

“I just approved it,” Trump said during a press conference. “They arrested the two officers to put them in jail for going after a criminal.”

In a statement Tuesday, the union said both men were wrongly convicted and maliciously prosecuted.

“These officers — men of integrity and dedication — were targeted by corrupt prosecutors who weaponized the legal system against them,” the union said.

Sutton was convicted and sentenced to 66 months in prison for Hylton-Brown’s death, while Zabavsky was sentenced to a 48-month prison term.

Hylton-Brown was riding a moped without a helmet on a sidewalk Oct. 23, 2020, when Sutton tried to pull him over in an unmarked car, authorities said. A chase ensued, reaching speeds of more than double the speed limit on residential streets, the Justice Department said.

Hylton-Brown was eventually struck by a vehicle in an alley during the pursuit. He sustained severe head trauma and died two days later. The pursuit appeared to violate the Metropolitan Police Department’s policy prohibiting chases.

High-speed chases are barred over minor traffic offenses.

Prosecutors alleged both officers conspired to hide the events that led to Hylton’s death, such as failing to tell superior officers about the seriousness of his injuries.

Prosecutors also claimed the officers deactivated their body cameras minutes after the collision and failed to take statements from witnesses.
