It ends with Beckham grabbing baby photos of him and his brother as babies before leaving the bar to search for the other David. After Beckham gets up, the words “Who is the other David” appear on-screen, next to a glass of Stella Artois.

“The secret is out, now the search for David Beckham’s twin brother is on,” the description for the YouTube video reads.

  • Travis Kelce fined for taunting Bills on Patrick Mahomes touchdown after not being penalized during game

Travis Kelce fined for taunting Bills on Patrick Mahomes touchdown after not being penalized during game

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was fined $11,255 for taunting during Sunday’s AFC championship game victory over the Buffalo Bills, the league announced Saturday.

The taunt that prompted the fine came after a touchdown run by Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the final two minutes of the second quarter. Kelce approached Bills safeties Damar Hamlin and Cole Bishop, aggressively nodding his head as he said something.

Multiple referees were standing near Kelce at the time of the taunt. But none of them threw a flag for unsportsmanlike conduct, which would have cost the Chiefs 15 yards after the play, either on the extra point try or the ensuing kickoff.

However, the referees did throw a 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalty on Bills defensive tackle Jordan Phillips after he responded to Kelce’s taunt by headbutting the tight end.

Phillips was also fined $6,722 for the headbutt, the league announced Saturday.

The Chiefs won the game, 32-29, and many fans expressed outrage over multiple calls that benefited Kansas City during the game.

Officials ruled Bills quarterback Josh Allen was stopped short of a first down on a 4th-and-short play in the fourth quarter. CBS rules analyst Gene Steratore said during the broadcast he believed Allen got the first down.

That call prompted backlash from NFL fans on social media, but it was not the only one.

During the second quarter, officials ruled Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy made a catch despite video replay showing the ball touched the ground.

Referees came under similar scrutiny during the Chiefs’ divisional round playoff win against the Houston Texans one week earlier when a pair of roughing the passer penalties were called against the Texans for hits on Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Houston edge rusher Will Anderson Jr. was called for roughing the passer on a third down in the first quarter. Anderson appeared to push Mahomes in the chest after Mahomes had thrown the ball incomplete to tight end Travis Kelce and was flagged.

The second penalty came during a Mahomes scramble in the third quarter. He had two blockers on a run and three defenders bearing down on him. He moved to his right and then back to his left when he decided to slide.

ESPN broadcaster Troy Aikman criticized the penalty and said it’s something the league has to address in the offseason.

Texans players and head coach DeMeco Ryans criticized the referees after the game.

Mahomes addressed the issue when asked by reporters Wednesday if he believed referees were giving him preferential treatment.

“I don’t feel that way,” Mahomes answered. “At the end of the day, the referees are doing their best to call the game as fair and as proper as they possibly can. And all you can do is go out there and play the game that you love as hard as you can and live with the results. … I think that’s what we preach here in Kansas City.

“You get new referees every year. You get new circumstances, and you never can really tell because every play’s different. And that’s what makes the NFL so special. I feel like I’ve just continued to play the game, and I just try to win. And whatever happens kind of happens.”

Kelce refused to address the issue when asked by brother Jason Kelce about the officiating during an episode of their “New Heights” podcast.

“I’d like to plead the Fifth,” the tight end said, jokingly referring to his constitutional right to remain silent, when Jason brought up the issue.

“It will be amazing to return to Baton Rouge, a community that means so much to me,” Reese said in a statement. “LSU was instrumental in preparing me for the WNBA, and I can’t wait to hit the court in front of both Tigers and Sky fans.”

Reese made her mark in LSU lore after carrying the Tigers to the 2023 national championship over Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

“We are excited to host a WNBA game in May featuring the Chicago Sky and Angel Reese,” LSU coach Kim Mulkey said. “Angel played a major role in establishing our program at LSU, and I know our fans are going to be excited to have her back in the PMAC. She had such a great rookie season, and we can’t wait to continue to watch her thrive in the WNBA.”

That title game featured Reese’s now-infamous taunt of Clark, which drew much criticism and started an unofficial rivalry between the two.

Clark dismissed any notion that Reese “should be criticized at all” after the fact, but the two have gone hand-in-hand in conversations surrounding women’s basketball, both on and off the floor.

Reese’s teammate Kamilla Cardoso will go against her home national team. She was the third pick of the draft, behind Clark and Cameron Brink, after completing an undefeated season with South Carolina.

“I am so excited to play against my former Brazilian national team,” Cardoso said. “Brazil has played such an important role in my life and has shaped the person I am today. Playing for the Sky against my former team gives me a wonderful opportunity to connect with my roots and play in front of old friends and teammates back home.”

  • Two players ejected after shoving fiasco, LSU’s Kim Mulkey slaps clipboard in chippy college basketball game

Two players ejected after shoving fiasco, LSU’s Kim Mulkey slaps clipboard in chippy college basketball game

Tempers flared during Thursday’s highly anticipated Top-25 women’s college basketball matchup between the one-loss LSU Tigers and the Oklahoma Sooners.

The game featured players shoving — which led to ejections — coach’s technical fouls and a noticeable clipboard-slapping moment from LSU coach Kim Mulkey. LSU forward Sa’Myah Smith and Oklahoma forward Liz Scott were both tossed from the game after the shoving incident in the first quarter.

Oklahoma center Beatrice Culliton was battling for position in the paint with Smith when the two got tangled up. Culliton elevated her arm to create some separation, and Smith retaliated by pushing her to the ground. Scott, who was also in the paint area, responded by shoving Smith.

Smith was corralled by Joe Schwartz, LSU’s assistant of basketball operations. The teams separated and went back to their bench areas. The normally even-keeled Smith was called for a foul on the play and then ejected following a review.

“Pushing, I guess, is considered fighting,” Mulkey said. “It (Smith’s reaction) was shocking. It hurt our team with her not being a part of tonight, because we’re trying to develop her. My old mentor (former Louisiana Tech coach), Leon Barmore, always said you’ve got to keep a cool head in a hot game. . . . Never let ’em see you sweat.”

Mulkey also gave a nod to the game’s entertainment value: “I guess it was entertaining for the fans.”

Play resumed after the ejections, with Oklahoma leading 12-11. The Sooners took advantage of the 6-foot-2 Smith’s advantage to keep it close, rallying from a 24-point deficit late in the third quarter to get within one point in the final minute.

In the third quarter, Mulkey slapped a clipboard that assistant coach Seimone Augustus was holding. LSU was enjoying a 67-45 lead at the time. Mulkey proceeded to yell and point for several seconds, while Augustus appeared to contend with a brief moment of shock.

Referees later assessed a technical foul after the Tigers’ coach argued a foul call against star guard Flau’Jae Johnson. Oklahoma coach Jennie Baranczyk also received a technical at a different point in the game.

The chippy game ended with a total of five technical fouls and 63 free throw attempts.

I got teed up, and she told me I got teed up for pointing at the big screen. I was definitely looking at the big screen, and I was not real happy, but I don’t know if I point. Super Bowl 1: A historic game between the Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs

Super Bowl LIX is Sunday, Feb. 9, at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans and features the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. Teams will once again compete for the championship title and the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

The Super Bowl has evolved into one of the most-televised programs in history. Thousands of fans shell out an excessive amount of money to travel and attend Super Bowl games, which are sold out each year. Some fans have even attended every Super Bowl game in history thus far.

The multimillion-dollar game has been a widely anticipated yearly event for decades. However, this wasn’t always the case.

The very first Super Bowl, Super Bowl I, was originally known as the AFL-NFL World Championship Game, and it occurred in 1967. The crowd was less-than-sold-out and some tickets were sold for a measly $12. Nevertheless, it was the start to a lengthy history of nail-biting games, monumental sporting moments and legendary halftime performances.

Each year, teams compete for their shot at the Vince Lombardi Trophy. (Mickey Pfleger/Sports Illustrated via Getty Images)

How many people attended Super Bowl I?

The first Super Bowl was not as crowded as you may think.

The game was not sold out, with more than 32,000 of the stadium’s 94,000 seats left empty, according to History.com.

A $12 ticket seems unimaginably low now as people dish out thousands to catch the championship game, but in the ’60s, many complained about the high ticket prices.

There was also not as much excitement for the Super Bowl in its early years as there is today.

Who played in Super Bowl I?

The first-ever Super Bowl was played by the Green Bay Packers, the National Football League champion, and the Kansas City Chiefs, the American Football League champion.

This game was played before the name “Super Bowl” was adopted at the suggestion of late Chiefs owner Lamar Hunt.

Who won Super Bowl I and II?

The Packers came out victorious in Super Bowl I against the Chiefs, 35-10.

The Packers were led by legendary head coach Vince Lombardi. The Super Bowl trophy was later named after the coach.

The Packers also reached Super Bowl II, playing the Oakland Raiders and winning 33-14.

    When was Super Bowl I?

Super Bowl I was played Jan. 15, 1967, at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Super Bowl I remains the only Super Bowl broadcast by two different networks. NBC, the official broadcaster of the AFL, and CBS, which broadcast NFL games, both televised the event.

What was the halftime score of Super Bowl I?

The score was tight at halftime of the first Super Bowl with the Packers holding a 14-10 lead over the Chiefs.

The Chiefs were able to score one touchdown that game, and it came in the second quarter on a pass to Curtis McClinton.

After halftime, Green Bay built its lead and won 35-10.

Who was the Chiefs QB in Super Bowl I?

The quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs during Super Bowl I was Len Dawson. A legendary photograph of Dawson during halftime of that first Super Bowl shows him smoking a cigarette in the Kansas City Chiefs’ locker room.

Although Dawson lost the first Super Bowl, he won a Super Bowl win with the Chiefs in Super Bowl IV, where they defeated the Minnesota Vikings, 23-7.

Dawson’s many awards during his time in the NFL included the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1987. Dawson died on Aug. 24, 2022 at age 87.

Did Super Bowl I have a halftime show?

The University of Arizona Marching Band and the Grambling State University Marching Band were among the performers at the Super Bowl halftime show. The Anaheim High School Ana-Hi-Steppers Drill Team and flag girls also performed.

Since that first game, the Super Bowl halftime show has become an enormous production in which many legendary performances have taken place. Past performers have included Madonna, Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Justin Timberlake, Maroon 5 and Shakira.

Hot mic catches moment Commanders’ Jayden Daniels was perplexed by odd referee announcement in NFC title game

During the Philadelphia Eagles’ beatdown of the Washington Commanders in the NFC championship, there was an odd moment at the goal line in the second half when Commanders linebacker Frankie Luvu tried to stop a “tush push” by jumping over the offensive line.

But he was called for encroachment … multiple times.

“Inside the NFL” caught the moment Luvu leaped over the Eagles’ offensive line without the ball being snapped. And, because he did it so many times, referees stepped in.

What was said, though, shocked many people, including Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels.

“Encroachment, defense, No. 4,” the referee said. “Washington has been advised that, at some point, the referee can award a score if this type of behavior happens again.”

“Award a score? You can give them a touchdown?” Daniels responded on the sideline.

“The refs can give us a touchdown I guess if they do it again or something,” DeJean responded.

The obscure rule is found in the NFL Rulebook as Rule 12, Section 3, Article 4.

“PALPABLY UNFAIR ACT: A player or substitute shall not interfere with play by any act which is palpably unfair. 51 Rule 12 Penalty: For a palpably unfair act: Offender may be disqualified. The Referee, after consulting the officiating crew, enforces any such distance penalty as they consider equitable and irrespective of any other specified code penalty. The Referee may award a score.”

The rule is for obvious unfair situations, and referees felt Luvu consistently jumping the gun on his leap to stop Jalen Hurts and the tush push was too much because the Eagles didn’t snap the ball.

NFL star Xavier Worthy recalls meeting Taylor Swift after Chiefs’ AFC title game win: ‘She’s taller than me’

NFL rookie Xavier Worthy is sharing some details about meeting Taylor Swift.

The music star made her way to the field inside Arrowhead Stadium shortly after the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills in the AFC championship game.

Cameras captured Worthy taking note of Swift’s stature moments after he greeted the “Anti-Hero” singer.

“Oh s—,” Worthy said as he smiled. “She’s taller than me.”

The Chiefs’ roster lists Worthy at 5-foot-11. By most accounts, Swift stands around one inch shorter than the Chiefs wide receiver. While Swift and Worthy are similar heights when flat-footed, the heels Swift was wearing at the time of the exchange could have made her appear to be taller than Worthy.

Worthy later confirmed Sunday’s game marked the first time he met Swift.

“I just met her.” Worthy told ABC 30. “It’s the video going viral right now. I was like, ‘Damn, she’s tall. She’s taller than me.’”

Worthy added that Swift recognized him because Kansas City selected him in the first round of April’s draft.

“We were on the field, and she walked right past me and said, ‘Oh you’re the one who got drafted?” Worthy said. “So, we met like that. It was cool.”

Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, recently said the pop star continues to support him.

“She’s fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game,” Kelce said earlier this month.

Kelce, 35, is playing in his 12th season in the NFL. He appeared in 16 of 17 games and finished the year with 823 receiving yards.

The 2024 campaign marked the second consecutive year the star tight end did not reach the 1,000-yard receiving mark, which prompted some questions about whether he would step away once the postseason comes to an end.

“I got all the support in the world to keep chasing these dreams,” Kelce added.

Kansas City has advanced to the last seven AFC title games. The Chiefs will take on the NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl Feb. 9 in New Orleans. The Chiefs are vying for an unprecedented third consecutive Super Bowl championship.

  • Bills GM Brandon Beane discusses controversial 4th-down play in AFC title game: ‘He got that’

Bills GM Brandon Beane discusses controversial 4th-down play in AFC title game: ‘He got that’

Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane heard what the league office had to say, but he still believes his quarterback picked up a crucial first down in the AFC Championship.

The Bills were crushed by the Kansas City Chiefs once again in the playoffs, falling just short of a Super Bowl appearance in a 32-29 loss on the road this past Sunday.

One of the most controversial plays from the game was a fourth-and-inches quarterback sneak by Josh Allen. In real-time, it appeared that he made the gain, but referees called him short, forcing a turnover on downs to the Chiefs.

Five plays later, Patrick Mahomes rushed into the end zone for his second rushing score of the game to take a seven-point lead after a two-point conversion.

Other than the controversial spot, the play prior, where Dalton Kincaid appeared to pick up the first down, is just as questionable. And replay shows a Chiefs player was lined up in the neutral zone when Allen took the snap on the sneak attempt, which should’ve been flagged for a first down.

Beane discussed that particular sequence of events on Thursday.

“It’s frustrating,” he said, per SI.com. “There’s only so much I can say. We work with the league to try to get clarity. I’ll give them credit. They’ve taken our calls. They’ve sent video and things like that. If you’re talking about like the fourth-down play, I feel like [Allen] got that. I still feel like he got that. I felt that in the moment and nothing has changed my mind on that.”

Earlier in the game, a crucial replay review confirmed a catch by Chiefs rookie Xavier Worthy, and it also bothered Beane. Defensive back Cole Bishop went up with Worthy for an interception, and it appeared both of them had their hands around the ball as the tip of the pigskin hit the ground.

Like the later play, it resulted in a Chiefs touchdown as Mahomes scampered into the end zone.

“The play that we challenged was a good challenge,” he explained. “I’m not sure either player had possession on the Bishop-Worthy play when the ball touched the ground.”

Some fans have accused referees of favoring the Chiefs during this Super Bowl run, with another controversial call coming in the divisional round against the Houston Texans.

Will Anderson Jr. was called for a personal foul, a 15-yard penalty, for a hit to the head on Mahomes despite replay showing that wasn’t the case. Nonetheless, the third-and-long that wasn’t converted on an overthrown pass gave the Chiefs more life on their drive.

Officiating will be a storyline heading into this matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles, especially after fans believed their previous Super Bowl meeting two seasons ago ended controversially after James Bradberry was called for holding JuJu Smith-Schuster.

The penalty set up Harrison Butker’s game-winning field goal to start this streak for the Chiefs.

Kickoff will be at 6:30 p.m. ET on Fox and streaming exclusively on Tubi.

NBA players Rudy Gobert, Mouhamed Gueye nearly hit by falling debris during game

Minnesota Timberwolves star Rudy Gobert and Atlanta Hawks big man Mouhamed Gueye narrowly avoided serious injury on Monday night at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

The two men were walking off the court at the end of the first quarter when a piece of debris fell from the jumbotron high above the court. Gobert seemingly felt the piece drop past his head as he walked off the floor. His Timberwolves teammates seemed to be in awe.

The center talked about the incident after the game.

“It (happened) right in front of me. I don’t know if that’s good or bad,” he told reporters, via FOX 9.

Neither player was injured in the incident.

Minnesota was able to build upon the eight-point lead it had after the first quarter and win the game, 100-92. Gobert had 18 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks. Anthony Edwards led the team with 23 points, five rebounds and four assists.

Gueye had four points and four rebounds in 19 minutes of action. De’Andre Hunter had 35 points off the bench for the Hawks. Clint Capela added 10 points and 15 rebounds.

Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch wasn’t exactly happy with how his team won. Atlanta got back into the game after outscoring Minnesota 31-20 in the third quarter.

“That was a totally unacceptable second half of basketball. If we’re trying to be a team, we’re trying to go where we’re trying to go, that’s not good enough,” Finch said.
