However, there are various rules and regulations that one has to follow in order to successfully complete the Ramadan fast. Here’s everything you need to know about Ramadan 2025, how to celebrate and the rules of Ramadan fasting along with the Dos and Don’ts. Ramadan 2025 Fasting Rules: Is Smoking Allowed While Fasting? Significance of Ramadan

Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic calendar and is the month in which the Quran is believed to have been revealed to the Islamic prophet Muhammad. The celebration of Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam and Practicing Muslims believe that fasting from dawn to sunset is obligatory (fard) for all adult Muslims who are not acutely or chronically ill, travelling, elderly, breastfeeding, diabetic, pregnant, or menstruating. The spiritual rewards (thawab) of fasting are believed to be multiplied during Ramadan.

    Dos and Don’ts of Ramadan

There are various strict rules of Ramadan that need to be followed. In order to make sure that you are observing the Ramadan fasting with all the dedication and fervour, here are the Dos of Ramadan that you must follow

    1. Offer the namaz prayers five times a day.
    2. Reading and reciting the Quran throughout the day.
    3. Making duas and reading special prayers to seek peace and harmony in the world.
    4. Indulging in charity.
    5. People also take the opportunity of Ramadan to let go of any past grudges or negative emotions that are holding them back. It is often seen as a time of forgiveness and kindness.

The rules of Ramadan also come with a dedicated list of things that they should not be indulged in for a fruitful Ramadan celebration. Here is a list of Don’ts of things you should avoid during Ramadan.

    1. The biggest thing to remember for fasting Muslims is to avoid drinking water or eating anything during the fasting period from sunrise to sunset.
    2. It is also customary for people to let go of their vices like smoking, drinking, gambling and any other bad habits throughout the month of Ramadan.
    3. During the fasting period, it is prohibited to indulge in other vices like being intimate or indulging in any recreational art or music.
    4. Indulging in any other negative activity like gossiping or fighting and quarreling is also looked down on, during the month of Ramadan.
    5. The last thing one must remember is to not have any malice in the heart as they observe this stringent and holy fast.

We hope that the celebration of Ramadan 2025 brings with it kindness, peace and harmony to the world. Here’s wishing everyone a Happy Ramadan.

4 Nations Face-Off final: Tickets prices experience spike before US vs Canada

Team USA and Canada will meet on the ice once again when the puck drops at the 4 Nations Face-Off final on Thursday night in Boston. Only four days have passed since the Americans defeated the Canadians in an intense battle.

The round-robin tournament has brought a considerable amount of attention to hockey, as players and fans proudly represent their respective countries. However, anyone who wants to be part of what is expected to be a raucous atmosphere inside Boston’s TD Garden will have to part ways with some considerable cash to secure a last-minute ticket.

As of late Thursday afternoon, the lowest-priced ticket on ticket marketplace Gametime was listed at $720. The price does not include taxes and ticket fees. Premium seating near the ice rink exceeded $5,000 prior to taxes and fees.

While Canada will seek revenge in the final, all eyes will also be on the pregame festivities. Some fans in Montreal began booing as the “The Star-Spangled Banner” played before games. Shortly after the game actually started, three fights broke out over a nine-second span.

The fans’ boos appeared to stem from their disapproval of President Trump’s comments on Canada potentially becoming the 51st state, in addition to the discontent over tariff threats.

Once the tournament shifted to the U.S., some fans inside Boston’s TD Garden booed, “O Canada.” Trump wished the American hockey team good luck during a call with the team on Thursday before the high-stakes contest.

“It was so awesome to get his support,” Team USA center J.T. Miller said. “It’s a pretty big deal for him to take time out of his schedule to talk to us for five minutes. It’s just another one of those things where we’re kind of pinching ourselves this tournament.”

  • Security expert gives insight on what Super Bowl protection, experience may be like with Trump’s attendance

Security expert gives insight on what Super Bowl protection, experience may be like with Trump’s attendance

President Donald Trump is expected to attend the Super Bowl on Sunday, which would mark the first time a sitting president attended the game.

The game is already a spectacle, but with Trump set to make an appearance, this contest will be on a whole other level than in years past.

With Trump’s expected attendance, this is now no ordinary event (it wasn’t one anyway), and those in attendance should expect a rather different experience, said Adam Gonzales, a former military service member who is the CEO of Hyperion Services.

Gonzalez was in charge of a six-man surveillance team while in the military, and then spent 10 years in a private military sector where he used to “call in airstrikes on the Taliban.” He then got into the private security space, “protecting ultra-high net worth individuals, celebrities, and rappers,” then hostage rescue space.

So, safe to say Gonzales is an expert on what it will take to protect Trump at the game – especially considering he was at the Army-Navy game in December with Trump in attendance.

“When President Trump came to that game, his protection detail shut down the stadium for an hour prior to his arrival. They shut down all gates, no one can leave, no one could come in, and then while he was coming in, for another hour, completely shut down. After he got in, another hour completely shut down,” Gonzales told Fox News Digital in a recent interview. “So that really kind of changes the environment quite a bit, at least from the average spectator coming into the gate.

“You’re really going to have to give yourself a lot of time, because the Secret Service will have that place locked down. It’s going to be a fortress for three hours.”

So, his advice? Get in early.

Gonzales has been to Army-Navy games while Trump was in attendance, but he said the protection for the 2024 edition was by far the biggest – likely because of the assassination attempts on his life last year.

HOW TO WATCH SUPER BOWL LIX BETWEEN CHIEFS, EAGLES STREAMED ON TUBI

“We could expect to see that again here at the Super Bowl, especially with the recent terror attack,” Gonzales noted.

The big game will come roughly six weeks after 14 people were killed on nearby Bourbon Street. However, Gonzales praised New Orleans police and said their quick action sent a message to those who even thought about making an attack at the Super Bowl.

Thus, Caesars Superdome may wind up being maybe the safest place to be on Sunday night.

“The New Orleans PD eliminated him on the spot, which sends a message to any other terrorist in the world who’s thinking ‘I want to disrupt the Super Bowl…’ So that actually kind of helps the security situation for the Super Bowl, because now the city of New Orleans is plussed up in ways that they weren’t for the New Year’s Eve celebration,” Gonzales said.

“So you’ve got local forces, you’ve got state forces, you’ve got all the federal forces, to include the Secret Service, and all the other government agencies that support behind the scenes. The FBI, all the intelligence agencies, everyone’s gathering intel on everything that might be happening underground that no one’s privy to on social media, in the dark web, and identifying these threats and dealing with these threats before they actually become threats. But if they do become threats on that day, you can guarantee that those law enforcement agencies will eliminate that threat super fast.

“Not to mention all the private security details. You’ve got private security details that are going to be there like the one for Taylor Swift and all the other ultra-high net worth individuals who are gonna be in attendance are likely gonna have some sort of small security detail that’s probably gonna be armed as well. So there’s a lot of eyes out, a lot of coverage, a lot of security that will help protect the Super Bowl and all the people in attendance, essentially by virtue of just association with the event.”

Royal Caribbean cruise passengers, crew members experience gastrointestinal illness symptoms

Eighty-nine passengers and two crew members experienced gastrointestinal illness symptoms aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship returning to Tampa, Florida, on Saturday, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said.

The Radiance of the Seas departed Florida for a seven-day western Caribbean cruise on Feb. 1, according to cruise tracking website CruiseMapper. Its planned stops included two in Mexico, one in Honduras and one in Belize.

The outbreak was reported to the CDC’s vessel sanitation program on Tuesday. Those who have fallen ill have experienced diarrhea and vomiting. At this time, the CDC says the cause is unknown.

Royal Caribbean did not immediately respond to a FOX Business request for comment, but told USA Today, “Enhanced measures have been implemented onboard in an abundance of caution to protect the health and comfort of all our guests and crew.”

Ill passengers and crew were isolated from others, the CDC said, and “increased cleaning and disinfection procedures” were implemented.

Cruise ships must report gastrointestinal illnesses to the CDC, the agency noted.

“Cases reported are totals for the entire voyage,” the CDC’s website states. “It does not mean all people are sick at the same time, such as when they arrive or leave a port or ship.”

‘Important lesson’: Conservative activist reveals ‘fascinating’ experience at liberal Sundance Film Festival

A documentary about bridging the political divide in one of the most hotly contested battleground counties in the United States debuted at the Sundance Film Festival this week, leading some to conclude that the historically liberal festival is moving toward the center.

“One of the things that is fascinating about ‘Bucks County, USA’ being chosen as an official selection at Sundance is it appears, in the era of Trump being re-elected, the well-known left-leaning Sundance Film Festival is moving to the middle,” Paul Martino said. “There is a new openness to dialogue,”

Martino, the founder of Bullpen Capital, told Fox News Digital about the documentary series “Bucks County, USA” being screened at Sundance, a Utah festival known for screening films promoting liberal causes and being a place for anti-Trump demonstrations.

KELSEY GRAMMER SAYS CONSERVATIVE MOVEMENT IS LOOKING ‘MORE ATTRACTIVE’ TO HOLLYWOOD

Martino, who is featured in the film, told Fox News Digital that the five-part docuseries is “all about the political divisions that happen in the United States focused on where I live, Bucks County, USA.”

It is about all of the post-COVID policies and all of the things that happened at the school board level once a lot of the parents’ rights movement started, and the film dives into a lot of detail about the political division that happened, and it focuses, ironically, on the friendship of my daughter and her best friend, who is what I would describe as my political rival’s daughter,” Martino explained.

Paul Martino at the Sundance Film Festival (Paul Martino)

Martino, a conservative, told Fox News Digital walking around Sundance was a “fascinating” experience and that he encountered many people who seemed to be open to the movie’s message of listening to the other side.

“Obviously, it is a rather left-leaning crowd in general. But even the people behind Sundance, the people who pick the films this year, said that they felt this film, ‘Bucks County, USA,’ was very important because it was in a Trump re-elected era,” Martino said.

“Understanding and speaking to the other side and understanding who the other side is is important.

“One of the amazing stories told by one of the filmmakers at Sundance was there’s a guy sitting next to me in a MAGA hat who I would have never talked to on the plane had I not made this movie and realized he had a lot to say to me. And the fact that this film affected even the filmmakers, I think, is a really interesting and important lesson for the rest of the country.”

While many people at Sundance were receptive to the film, Martino told Fox News Digital he did encounter some opposition from people at a question-and-answer session after the screening.

I would say one of the only disappointments of the experience was I felt that some people in the crowd, you know, it’s an honor to be in the Q&A at the end of the series and, look, we had everybody up there. We had people who really don’t like each other, who disagree vehemently, and I think it was lost on the audience that all of us were standing there,” Martino said.

“The fact that we all agreed to be part of this, the fact that we were all there and I got asked a question or two that were directed in my direction that I felt were a little bit inflammatory and I kind of chuckled to myself thinking, ‘Did you just watch the movie? And did you just see the fact that we’re all here? Maybe you missed a little something there.'”

    Safety and regulatory considerations

While the prospect of personal eVTOLs and air racing is thrilling, it also raises important safety and regulatory questions. Jetson has implemented several safety features, including:

    • A race car-inspired safety cell design
    • The ability to fly safely with the loss of one motor
    • Hands-free hover and emergency functions
    • A ballistic parachute with rapid deployment

In terms of regulations, Jetson has made progress, securing two flight permits in Italy for personal eVTOL travel in uncontrolled airspace in fall 2023. However, comprehensive racing regulations are yet to be defined.

    The competition: Airspeeder and beyond

While Jetson has made headlines with this demonstration, it’s worth noting that Airspeeder isn’t far behind. They have already created teams and held aerial events, albeit with remote-controlled eVTOLs. Their aircraft boasts impressive specifications, including a top speed of 124 mph and a power-to-weight ratio comparable to Formula 1 cars.
