Eagles star rookie Cooper DeJean suffers ‘battle scar’ from massive Bud Light chain during Super Bowl parade

Philadelphia Eagles rookie Cooper DeJean walked away from Friday’s Super Bowl celebrations with lasting memories and possibly a scar.

The star cornerback had a notable gash above his left eye during the Super Bowl parade in downtown Philadelphia. But unlike general manager Howie Roseman, who was hit with an errant beer can, DeJean’s injury was self-inflicted.

“Might be the best day of my life. I got a little battle scar going on,” DeJean told FOX Sports in an interview during the parade route.

“I hit myself with this big a– chain,” he said with a laugh, referring to the oversize Bud Light chain hanging around his neck.

One Philly fan seemed to track down the moment the injury occurred – it appeared to be when DeJean was spraying the crowd with beer.

The fan shared the picture with DeJean on X, and he confirmed.

“Yes. Battle scars. I love this city,” he said in response.

DeJean, drafted by the Eagles in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, had an immediate impact in his first NFL season, which was headlined by a stellar performance in the Eagles’ 40-22 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

On his 22nd birthday, he picked off Patrick Mahomes to score a touchdown and became the first player in Super Bowl history to intercept a pass or score a touchdown on his birthday.

Images showed the football executive with a large gash in his forehead, which was later revealed to be the result of an errant beer can thrown his way.

At the final destination of Friday’s parade, Roseman shouted to fans, “I bleed for this city!”

Convenience chain Kum & Go rebranding dozens of locations in several states

Dozens of Kum & Go convenience stores across several states are about to be rebranded, according to reports.

There are currently 300 Kum & Go locations across the Midwest and southern parts of the U.S., the company’s website says.

The company was founded in 1959 by W.A. Krause and T.S. Gentle when they opened their first full-service gas station in Hampton, Iowa.

“They had a vision to offer more than just fuel; they wanted to fuel lives with moments of joy and connection. This was the beginning of a growth story that has made Kum & Go an integral part of countless communities across multiple states,” Kum & Go’s website states.

In Missouri, more than 50 Kum & Go locations will begin their rebranding process in March, local FOX 2 reports.

The change is expected to be completed by summer 2025, the station states.

Arkansas Kum & Go stores began their rebranding process in mid-January, local 5NEWS reports.

More than 60 locations in Michigan and Missouri are soon expecting rebrands, as well, CSP Daily News reports.

The work is a continuation since Kum & Go was acquired by Utah-based company Maverik in 2023.

Back in August, Maverik said it had “completed 97 rebrands across Utah and Colorado, with the goal of offering its customers a unified, consistent experience across store food offerings, in-store experience, product selection, rewards programs, customer service and more.”

While Kum & Go and Maverik representatives did not immediately respond to a FOX Business request for more information, local KOLR reports that customers may experience brief store closures while changes are being made inside and outside stores.

  • Trump Burger chain in Texas serves up support for president

Trump Burger chain in Texas serves up support for president

A small burger chain in Texas is serving up ground beef and fries with a side of support for President Donald Trump, the restaurant’s namesake and for whom the eatery is themed.

Inside, Trump-stamped burgers are on the menu, and there is memorabilia honoring the 45th and 47th president.

“We’re huge Trump supporters,” owner Roland Beainy, who was born and raised in Lebanon and moved to the United States in 2019, told FOX Business. “He’s a gentleman that makes peace. Even before he took office, he made peace in the Middle East already between Lebanon and Israel.”

FOX Business has reached out to the White House for comment.

Beainy opened the first Trump Burger restaurant in 2020 during Trump’s first term in Bellville, a town a little more than an hour outside Houston. A second location followed in Flatonia, near San Antonio, and another is slated to open in Houston in a few weeks.

Beainy plans to open a fourth location in Kemah, a city on Galveston Bay with a sprawling entertainment complex filled with waterfront restaurants, theme park rides and retail stores. The chain is not affiliated with Trump.

Regarding Trump, Beainy said he also likes that the president is an entrepreneur and supports his economic policies. He noted that in 2020 he would pay around $15 for a gallon of cooking oil.

“Once Biden took over, we started to pay $50 to $52, and now it’s down to $28,” he said. “It’s still too high.”

Prices for chicken and beef, particularly Angus beef, have also increased, said Beainy, who has worked in the food industry for 20 years and has restaurants in Dubai and Lebanon.

Like most burger joints, Trump Burger serves typical American fare. A “Trump Burger” consists of an 8-ounce Angus beef patty, two slices of American cheese with lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise and barbecue sauce. The “Trump Tower” is the same as the “Trump Burger” but with 16 ounces of Angus beef.

The buns are also branded “Trump.”

Other menu items include the Philly cheesesteak and “First Lady chicken sandwich.” In a dig at the Biden-Harris administration, the “Harris Burger” consists of 1 ounce of beef “topped with tomato and our oldest buns unavailable due to cheating and inflation,” according to the menu.

That burger, which is a joke, costs $50.99, the menu states.

Reaction to the chain has been generally positive, said Beainy. Local police departments have assisted when some people choose to cause a disturbance, he said. He said he doesn’t respond to hate comments.

He decided to open a Houston location after increased demand from locals who had to drive more than an hour to the Bellville location.

Beainy said he will continue to support Trump and is confident that costs for businesses like his will eventually come down.
