“I guess you have to say a quarterback who has won as much as he’s won, I have to go with Kansas City. At the same time, Philadelphia has a fantastic … it’s going to be a great game.”

Trump told Baier he was a fan of both the Chiefs and Eagles.

“They’re sort of different,” Trump remarked “Philadelphia have one of the greatest running backs. Saquon had an uncle who was a great fighter. So, you have a great running back, you really have a great quarterback.

“The other team, the quarterback really knows how to win. He is a great, great quarterback.”

Trump asked why he decided to attend the game and become the first sitting president to do so.

“I think just the spirit of the country. The country’s taken on a whole new life. I thought it would be a good thing for the country to have the president be at the game,” he said.

“It’s an iconic day. It’s gonna be a great game, two great teams and let’s see what happens.”

With Super Bowl Sunday here, fans hope a higher power can help their teams in the big game.

The Philadelphia Eagles will look to take down the back-to-back reigning champion Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans, with kickoff at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Both pastors appeared to be wearing Eagles priest collars, and “Father Joe,” wearing the number 3, was hyping up the churchgoers.

The song was written in 1955, but it did not become a mainstay for every touchdown until the 1999 season.

The birthday could be that must better with a ring, but there are more accolades the star player could achieve should he continue his dominant year. He’s 30 yards shy of breaking the NFL season rushing record with postseason numbers included. Barkley is short of Terrell Davis’ mark of 2,476 yards set in 1998 with the Denver Broncos.

Barkley made clear that everything about getting to the Super Bowl is nice, but the goal was to win the game.

“The dream was to win the Super Bowl, and I think we’re capable of doing it.”

Barkley was awarded the 2024 Offensive Player of the Year award because of his incredible first season in Philadelphia. He had 2,005 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns in 16 games.

“I look forward to joining the fans in New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX to cheer on two great teams – the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles – as they battle for the National Football League’s Vince Lombardi Trophy,” he said in a statement.

“The coaches, players, and team staff on the field tonight represent the best of the best in professional football, but they also embody the best of the American Dream. Their hard work, dedication, and tenacity is admirable, and their individual journeys are as inspiring as the drive and determination that has led them to this extraordinary moment. They also represent the hopes and dreams of our Nation’s young athletes as we restore safety and fairness in sports and equal opportunities among their teams.

“Football is America’s most popular sport – for good reason – it fosters a sense of national unity, bringing families, friends, and fans together and strengthening communities.  This annual tradition transcends our differences and personifies our shared patriotic values of family, faith, and freedom heroically defended by our military service members, law enforcement officers, and first responders. We value their devotion to protecting our great Nation and salute their selfless service.”

Trump mentioned the lives that were lost and wounded in the terror attack that took place in the city on New Year’s Day.

“This year, the Super Bowl returns to the Caesars Superdome for a (record-tying 11th time).  While thousands of fans from across our Nation gather in New Orleans to cheer on their favorite team, we remember that 14 families will be missing a loved one who was tragically murdered during a senseless terrorist attack while celebrating the New Year on Bourbon Street.  Our thoughts are also with the 35 individuals injured during the attack whose lives were changed forever that fateful night, and our prayers will remain with them for continued strength, comfort, and healing.

“Tonight, we look forward to a terrific game and the crowning of the Super Bowl Champions. Melania joins me in sending our best wishes for a great Super Bowl Sunday. May the best team win, and may God bless you, your family, and the United States of America.”

Tom Brady reveals he took 15-minute nap before playing in 1st Super Bowl

Tom Brady won seven Super Bowl championships during his career with the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

During the 2001 season, Brady had to step up as the starting quarterback for an injured Drew Bledsoe and led the Patriots to their first Super Bowl appearance in several years. At that point, Brady was only in his second season in New England, and he appeared to be as cool as the other side of the pillow.

He explained to FOX colleagues Erin Andrews and Michael Strahan on “The Madden Cruiser Tour: A Bayou Adventure with Bill Belichick” that he decided to take a quick snooze before Super Bowl XXXVI against the St. Louis Rams. The game was played in the Superdome in New Orleans.

“We had to warm up on the field and then we have 50 minutes before we went back out. So, I took my pads off and I was like, you know, I’m just gonna lay down and rest and I literally took a 15-minute nap before the game,” he explained.

Scenes of American service men and women flash alongside scenes of infamous assassination attempts, including the 1981 attack on former President Ronald Reagan and President Donald Trump, who survived a July 13 assassination attempt after being shot in the ear during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Eli and Cooper’s father, Archie, and their mother, Olivia, were given the first Louisiana Legacy Award for their commitment to the well-being of children and their families across the state and the country.

“I can speak on behalf of my entire family. It’s very hard to put into words,” Archie Manning said at the event. “To have a hospital named after you, this is not like making second-team All-SEC or anything like that.
