Saquon Barkley spots Eagles ball boy in parade crowd, lifts him over barricades to join the action

The City of Brotherly Love hosted its second Super Bowl victory parade Friday.

A huge contingent of Philadelphia Eagles fans gathered along the parade route that stretched down Broad Street, the city’s famous thoroughfare.

Eagles players, coaches and executives, gathered atop floats and waved to supporters. Some players, including Saquon Barkley, opted for closer interactions with the fans at certain points of the parade.

As Barkley walked along the street, he spotted the team’s ball boy.

After greeting the ball boy, Barkley used a bear hug to help him get over a barricade and onto the parade route.

Barkley also helped create another memorable moment during the celebration when he took notice of a sign that said, “Today is my 3rd birthday. Go Birds!”

Barkley took a moment to take pictures with the young fan as he held her sign. The interaction appeared to leave the 3-year-old’s father in a state of shock.

“I couldn’t believe it was happening,” he said, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Barkley had a memorable first season with the Eagles. After experiencing limited postseason success during his six-year run with the New York Giants, Barkley signed with Philadelphia in the offseason.

NFL officiating was a talking point in the midst of the biggest game of the year between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night in the AFC Championship.

The Bills were stuck with a 4th-and-1 with about 13 minutes to play in the game. Josh Allen ran a quarterback sneak to try to achieve first-down yardage. At first glance, the push from his teammates appeared to be unsuccessful in getting a new set of downs.

The game was stopped as officials reviewed the play. The CBS broadcast appeared to show the two sideline judges initially disagreeing with the spot of the ball. One official spotted the ball closer to the marker than the other.

The replay appeared to show Allen may have gotten the ball across the line as he inched backward into Chiefs defensive linemen. However, officials ruled that Allen did not get the ball to the marker, and Buffalo turned the ball over.

NFL fans watching the game were highly critical of the ball spot and expressed it as much during the game.

The Chiefs scored on the following drive. Buffalo did tie the game on the next possession. However, it was Harrison Butker’s field goal and a Chiefs defensive stop that put an end to the game.

    Kansas City won, 32-29.

The Allen stop was not the only questionable call in the game. A huge Xavier Worthy play in the second quarter was ruled a catch despite the ball seemingly touching the ground.

  • Miss America wore ‘MAHA’ gown to inaugural ball in celebration of RFK Jr.

Miss America wore ‘MAHA’ gown to inaugural ball in celebration of RFK Jr.

An Atelier dress designer and supporter of President Donald Trump shocked partygoers and social media users once again with a silhouette unlike anything he’d handcrafted before.

Andre Soriano, a shop owner in Occoquan, Virginia, and originally from the Philippines, designed a green “Make America Healthy Again” dress for recently crowned Miss America Abbie Stockard.

“She’s the sweetest,” Soriano told Fox News Digital of Stockard. “She’s the best representation of America. She’s going to be a great example for all the kids.”

Stockard, who represented Alabama and was crowned Miss America Jan. 5, wore the custom gown to the MAHA inaugural ball, held for a night in celebration of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Trump’s pick for secretary of Health and Human Services Jan. 20.

She has since shared photographs from the event opposite RFK Jr. and his wife, Cheryl Hines, among others.

“I’m truly, truly honored and grateful to be part of her dressing up,” Soriano said.

The controversial designer is well known for the infamous “Make America Great Again” ensemble he crafted for singer-songwriter Joy Villa, which she wore to the 2017 Grammy Awards.

“I’ve been in Hollywood before,” Soriano told Fox News Digital. “I’ve been dissected, especially after I made the Trump dress.”

Soriano has been the recipient of hateful rhetoric both online and in person for his patriotic tailoring.

“We’re going to tell the,. ‘God bless you, and peace be with you,’” he said of the backlash.

Soriano received the measurements for Stockard just two days before she arrived in Washington, D.C., for the inaugural events.

He made the dress in eight hours.

“She came the next day,” Soriano said. “I did the fitting, and it fit her like a glove. I’ve worked with a lot of women, and I really nailed it down to the T.”

January was hectic for Soriano because eight to 10 dresses were commissioned by him in preparation for Inauguration Day.

“The whole month of January I was flooded,” he said. “I’m so glad that America finally made that decision.”

Happy New Year! New York’s Times Square sees ‘biggest party in the world’ with annual ball drop: WATCH

Happy New Year 2025: The ball dropped at Times Square in New York as Americans rang in the New Year 2025 with cheers and light shows. The New Year’s Eve ball dropped in soggy Times Square, where thousands of revelers stuck it out in heavy rain to celebrate the start of 2025 in New York City.

Crowds cheered and couples kissed when the ball weighing almost 6 tons (5.4 metric tons) and featuring 2,688 crystal triangles descended down a pole in Times Square. The celebration included musical performances by TLC, Jonas Brothers, Rita Ora and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

“It’s the biggest party in the world. There’s no other place to celebrate New Year’s than Times Square,” said Tommy Onolfo of Long Island.

A New Year’s Eve ball has dropped in Times Square for nearly 120 years, with the exception of 1942 and 1943 when nightly “dimouts” occurred during World War II to protect the city from attacks.

According to the Rolling Stone, a country singer-songwriter, Mickey Guyton, took to the stage ahead of the ball drop in New York’s Times Square. She performed “All American,” “House on Fire,” and “My Side of the Country” on the Planet Fitness Center Stage, closing out a phenomenal year.

Singing to the crowd of thousands gathered in Times Square and the millions watching from home, the country star also delivered a rendition of John Lennon’s “Imagine” from his 1971 album of the same name.

Countries in the South Pacific Ocean were the first to ring in the New Year. Midnight struck in New Zealand 18 hours before the ball dropped in Times Square.

Auckland was the first major city to celebrate, with thousands thronging downtown or climbing the city’s ring of volcanic peaks for a fireworks vantage point. American Samoa will be among the last to welcome 2025, a full 24 hours after New Zealand.

The idea of a ball dropping to show time is older than the New Year’s celebration. The first ‘time ball’ was set up in 1833 at England’s Royal Observatory in Greenwich. It helped ship captains set their clocks. Today, this tradition continues and is watched by billions around the world. It is more than just a celebration. It stands for hope, unity, and a fresh start as people come together to welcome the future.
