Police arrest woman after death of ‘rising star’ reporter Adan Manzano during Super Bowl week

A Louisiana woman was arrested after the death of Adan Manzano, a Kansas City-based sports reporter on assignment in New Orleans for the Super Bowl.

Danette Colbert allegedly used Manzano’s credit card multiple times throughout New Orleans.

She faces multiple property crime charges, including fraud and theft-related offenses, police said.

Her arrest record includes allegations of theft, among other suspected criminal acts. An investigation is ongoing.

Manzano traveled to New Orleans to provide coverage for KGKC, Kansas City’s Telemundo affiliate, and Tico Sports. Steve Downing, the general manager of KGKC, said Manzano’s body was found inside his hotel room Wednesday night.

A cause of death was not immediately provided.

KGKC released a statement offering condolences to Manzano’s loved ones. Telemundo Kansas City also confirmed its cooperation with authorities in a statement posted to its social media platform.

“Adan was a true professional and a rising star, who exemplified excellence in his work. We will deeply miss Adan and his passion for sports, and the contributions he made to the local community,” Telemundo 39’s statement says.

“Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.”

Manzano’s wife, Ashleigh Boyd, died in a car crash last year in Kansas.

Marcus Jordan breaks silence after drug possession arrest in Florida

Marcus Jordan, the son of NBA great Michael Jordan, broke his silence on social media, days after he was arrested in Florida on multiple charges, including possession of cocaine.

Marcus, 34, addressed the news about his arrest on his Instagram Thursday.

“I appreciate everyone reaching out. I’m focusing on @trophyroomstore right now and won’t be making any comments on recent media stories and my personal life,” Marcus said in a post.

He tagged his personal business, an Orlando boutique dedicated to Michael Jordan’s career.

“I sincerely appreciate your concerns & thank you for your kind understanding,” Jordan added.

Marcus was booked into the Orange County Jail Tuesday on charges of cocaine possession, resisting arrest and DUI property damage or personal injury. Fox News Digital reached out to Jordan’s representatives for comment.

Dashcam video from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office in Florida showed Marcus’ Lamborghini SUV speeding away from deputies shortly before officers with the Maitland Police Department found his vehicle stuck on railroad tracks.

According to an arrest report, officers asked Marcus to step out of the vehicle after they detected an order of alcohol. Officers then noted that they observed slurred speech and confusion.

A bag of cocaine was also found in Marcus’ pants, according to the arrest report.

Marcus also identified himself during the stop as the son of the former Chicago Bulls star.

“Bro, I’m Marcus Jordan. I’m Michael Jordan’s son,” he told officers, according to the New York Post. “I’m not doing anything wrong. I’m just trying to get home. And I made a wrong turn, OK?”

Marcus is the second-oldest child of Michael Jordan. He previously made headlines after entering into a relationship with Larsa Pippen, the ex-wife of his father’s former teammate, Scottie Pippen.

Trump unveils sanctions against International Criminal Court for Netanyahu arrest warrant

President Donald Trump signed an executive order sanctioning the International Criminal Court (ICC) on Thursday, in response to its May 2024 arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The order unveils financial sanctions and visa restrictions against ICC officials and their family members who support ICC investigations against U.S. citizens and allies.

The ICC is an independent, international organization, based in The Hague, Netherlands, and established under the Rome Statute, an international treaty that took effect in 2002. The court oversees global issues including genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes.

The Trump White House claims that the U.S. and Israel are not subjected to the jurisdiction of the ICC because the court poses threats to U.S. sovereignty and constitutional protections. Additionally, the White House has accused the ICC of politicization and said ICC has targeted Israel without holding regimes like Iran to the same standards.

In September 2018, Trump said that “as far as America is concerned, the ICC has no jurisdiction, no legitimacy, and no authority.”

In May 2024, ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan, from the United Kingdom, had asked for an arrest warrant for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, whom Netanyahu fired in November 2024. The warrant paved the way for their arrest, should they visit any of the 124 countries that are party to the Rome Statute, including the United Kingdom, France and Austria.

Khan also issued arrest warrants for Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, Ismail Haniyeh and Mohammed Deif, who have all since been killed by Israeli forces.

Khan said he issued these warrants against Hamas leaders for war crimes including murder, taking hostages as a war crime, torture and other inhumane acts, following the Palestinian militant group’s attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.

Khan also said he issued the warrants against the Israeli leaders due to war crimes including starvation of civilians, directing attacks against a civilian population, persecution and other inhumane acts.

In January, after Trump’s inauguration, the House also passed legislation that would sanction the ICC, but the measure failed to advance in the Senate Jan. 28.

Trump welcomed Netanyahu for a visit at the White House on Tuesday, where Trump signed an executive order reinstating his “maximum pressure” campaign against Iran. Trump also unveiled plans to rebuild Gaza, and described Netanyahu as the “right leader” for Israel.

“He’s done a great job and we’ve been friends for a long time,” Trump told reporters. “We do a great job also, and I think I think we have a combination that’s very unbeatable, actually.

Netanyahu also voiced appreciation for this friendship with Trump, and his support for Israel and the Jewish people.

“I’ve said this before, I’ll say it again,” Netanyahu said Tuesday. “You are the greatest friend Israel has ever had in the White House. And that’s why the people of Israel have such enormous respect for you.”

Trump previously issued sanctions against ICC officials in 2020, signing off on an asset freeze and family entry ban against them stemming from an ICC investigation into alleged U.S. actions in Afghanistan.

Marcus Jordan speeds away from officers before arrest on drug charge in Florida, dashcam video shows

Marcus Jordan, the son of Michael Jordan, was seen speeding away from Florida law enforcement officers before his vehicle was found stuck on railroad tracks, dashcam video showed.

The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office dashcam video showed Jordan in his Lamborghini sports utility vehicle speeding away from deputies before he was later arrested.

Officers with the Maitland Police Department found the vehicle immobile on the tracks in the suburb with a commuter train about 10 minutes away. The SUV’s tires were buried in dirt and rock from being spun repeatedly, according to an arrest report.

Jordan was arrested on multiple charges, including cocaine possession and resisting an officer without violence.

When Jordan was asked to get out of the vehicle after smelling alcohol, officials said they noticed his slurred speech and confusion. The arrest report said officers found a bag of what tested positive for cocaine in his pants.

Jordan was booked into the Orange County Jail and refused to talk to reporters when he was released Tuesday. Fox News Digital reached out to his representatives for comment.

The 34-year-old is the second-eldest child of the former Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards star. Marcus played high school basketball and later tried his hand at college basketball at the University of Central Florida.

He ended up leaving the program in 2012 and graduated with a bachelor’s degree at The Rosen College of Hospitality Management in 2013.

Marcus has laid low for the most part. He was thrust into the spotlight about two years ago when he began dating Larsa Pippen, the ex-wife of his father’s teammate Scottie Pippen. The relationship lasted for about two years as the couple broke up in 2024.

He has had a brush with the law in the past. He pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct and resisting arrest in an incident in Omaha, Nebraska, in 2012. He was also charged with obstructing a police officer, but the charge was dropped as part of a plea agreement.

Dutch police arrest three suspects after the theft of a priceless golden helmet from Romania

Dutch authorities on Wednesday arrested three suspects after the theft of a priceless ancient golden helmet that is considered a cultural icon of Romania and had been on display in a small museum in the Netherlands. There was no sign that the intricate helmet dating back some 2,500 years had been recovered.

The theft of the helmet and three golden wristbands also on display sent shockwaves through the art world, and devastated Romanian authorities who thought they were loaning the items to a nation where security for museums was paramount.

Dutch police said in a statement that the suspects were being interrogated and “more arrests are not excluded.” They did not elaborate.

It gave a glimmer of hope to the Drents Museum, which has come under criticism, especially from Romania, for not applying sufficient security.

“We are awaiting further developments with bated breath. The recovery without damage would be, for all, a fantastic next step. Not only for us, but also for the Romanian population,” the museum said in a statement.

The Cotofenesti helmet is one Romania’s most revered national treasures from the Dacia civilization. It was on display on the final weekend of a six-month stint when it was stolen.

Romanian President Klaus Iohannis called the artifacts of “exceptional cultural and historical importance” for Romanian heritage and identity, and that their disappearance had “a strong emotional and symbolic impact on society.”

It was a heist that “even in our most pessimistic dreams, we would not have believed possible,” said the director of Romania’s National History Museum, Ernest Oberlander-Tarnoveanu.

The helmet’s fame and dramatic studded appearance mean it could never easily be sold, raising fears the thieves were after the gold itself. But melting it would reduce the treasure’s cultural and historical value. Gold stands at about 85,000 euros ($89,000) per kilo, and the helmet is estimated to weigh slightly less than that.

Kristi Noem says NYC safer after arrest of criminal illegal immigrants

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said federal immigration authorities were arresting the “worst of the worst” in raids targeting criminal illegal immigrants in the first week of the Trump administration.

Noem, who was confirmed Saturday, joined an immigration enforcement raid in New York City Tuesday morning in which officers picked up an alleged ringleader of the violent Tren de Aragua gang.

“We are picking up the worst of the worst in this country that are making our streets so dangerous,” Noem told Sean Hannity on “Hannity.” “The community is safer now. That’s the reality of it.”

Investigators said Anderson Zambrano-Pacheco, 25, is the same man caught on camera in a video showing heavily armed men kicking down an apartment door at an apartment complex in Aurora, Colorado.

He was hiding out in New York City, authorities said.

The targeted raid against criminal illegal immigrants was “very specific,” Noem said. In an effort to combat crime, sanctuary city laws should be lifted, so authorities can better target and prosecute illegal immigrants who commit crimes, she added.

“We need mayors and governors partnering with us, but we will do our job regardless of that,” she said. “We will continue to go forward and identify those folks and get them out.

“Talking about the difference in some of these sanctuary cities, how they’re just released as soon as they come into our custody, not necessarily our custody, but the local governments’.”

Noem said she plans to accompany authorities to see what authorities need to better perform their jobs.

Noem said three times the number of criminal illegal immigrants were being arrested than under the Biden administration, and she said there were fewer encounters at the southern border.
